Housing, food, energy, and gas are all so prohibitively expensive now especially with the miniscule salary Canadians are paid, that the system collapse is imminent.
Canada's most recent data shows a 4.5% monthly rise for food, 4% for rent, and 14.5% for energy.
This means that Canada presently has 54% p.a. food inflation, 48% p.a. housing inflation, and 174% energy inflation.
In other words, painfully incompetent economic management, plus millions of new mouths to feed, means Canada is quite literally running out of the physical resources to keep its people alive.
Hyperinflation is just around the corner and it's being concealed by deceptive government accounting.
we literally live in venezuela the only jobs are civil service reserved for women, immigrants and francophones it over

I know the east coast is fucked. Just look at the unemployment rates for the east coast compared to the west coast. It's twice as high. The unemployment in Newfoundland and Labrador is 15.5%, 9% in PEI, 7.5% in New Brunswick, 8% in Nova Scotia, with a 6% unemployment rate for the country overall. The lowest state in the US is Alaska right now w/ 6.5%.
Then when you look at the tax rates for New Brunswick -pic related- it's kinda ridiculous the amount of money that gets taken out from personal income tax and HST compared to the corporate tax. And the amount of money that goes to the Irving family from taxpayers is 2 to 3 times as much as they put in.
In New Brunswick we literally get taxed to make the gas we refine cheaper to buy in New England than here.
What will happen in the Aftermath of your economic collapse? Will USA annex it Fallout style?

What if I told you This is why you take in migrants.
There's a better image I can't find, but basically your population is tapped out on debt, but this filth can take on more, keeping your economy cycling over JUST long enough for the boomers to check out.
Not true, unemployment is 2.9% in New Hampshire, we can't find workers.

You really believe importing millions of unemployable mud-hutters from the third world is about "cheap workers"? The vast majority of them will just get on welfare and never work a day in their lives. Perhaps a few will do some "job" that a robot could do cheaper, but if those savages could produce more than they consume their own native homelands wouldn't be desolate open sewers.
same thing is happening here, everyone is hiring even in the small towns.
We'll see what happens when the housing bubble explodes though.
