DNA calculators are still in the preliminary stages. Simplistically speaking, Germans are genetically midway between the Brits and the Slavs. That’s probably why the calculator is acting funny. I show up now as 92% British Isles and 7% Eastern European. Previously I showed up as having a good deal of Southern European and Scandinavian until the last update. That update consolidated the former results to make it more accurate. As far as I know, I don’t have any Eastern European ancestry, but if so, def not 7%. I do know that I have at least 7% German. I believe after the next update, my 7% Eastern European will consolidate with some of british Isles ancestry to make say 10% or so German/Central European.
