Ask them about anything from history. They will answer as if they have opinions on it. Yet it is just regurgitating Wikipedia or the first page that comes up on Joogle. Easy to spot them, they have no knowledge of history whatsoever

You need to ask things like the reasoning behind their reasoning, speculative, theoretical questions, things that would indicate their "inner voice".
Reminder that there are some very smart NPCs and not-so-smart PCs, and that MSM, social media, pop culture are not the only forces that can condition an NPC. Family and personal experience can be more powerful.

The biggest NPC I know, will constantly say things like "you can't be serious?" "Are you serious?" Or a simple, faggoty sounding, "seriously!?" When an unconventional political or Pro-Trump viewpoint is expressed. I think people who say "seriously" a lot, as a question, or in contempt, give a very obvious tell in terms of being NPC. Their controlled brains can't handle ideas outside their safe zone.
