Personally, I think that it might just be, since its lyrics feature some really red pilled sounding shit.
For example:
We are gathered here today to get it right Repeat after me: "I will not celebrate mediocrity I will not worship empty shells I will not listen to worthless noises I will not subject myself to selected predictable choices My time, my attention My quality should not be bought and sold For convenience's sake, ever"
"Old does not mean dead, new does not mean best No hard feelings, I'm tired of being right about everything I've said Yours does not mean mine, kill does not mean die We are not your kind No excuses, I challenge you to all out fucking life"
And its video features people in masks, all being the same, like how the NPCs are portrayed.
Well, I said Jews. You guys can start posting here, now.

I didn't read your post, sorry, but that thumbnail is hilarious. Good for whoever owns that business, it's fucking genius. I'd absolutely hire them if I had a dog.

Thank you for bumping my thread. I hope more people come and talk about the topic.
First off Leaf. Secondly if this is some shitty metallica song you can fuck off with that Gen X faggotry. Boomer's are shit, but at least they actually took action. It just happens to be stupid selfish actions.
Gen X'ers didnt confront the boomers. They just let them fuck their kids over (millenials) while non stop talking about mtv, blockbuster, and record stores.
Parker Peterson
It's not Metallica, it's Slipknot. I just used the picture because it's the only metal related image I have currently.
Thanks for bumping my thread, but you're not on the topic...

If you arent aware OP, corey taylor (lead singer) is a huge cuck and hates drumpf, he's very vocal about it. It's not hard to guess where he stands
Chase Morris
Yeah alright, but I'm not asking about the performers political stance, I'm asking about specifically this one song and its music video.
Sebastian Bennett
Lyrics are pretty subjective so take it how you see it.
Christian Hughes
the song stinks here's some real metal to clean your ears with
Your topic is retarded because every mainstream band you pull lyrics from is invariably going to be liberal. Therefore, any lyrics you select are going to be from bands that will denounce any association with wherever it ends up being used for.
Adrian Collins
I agree with you, but I still wanted to bring it to the attention of other people, so we can discuss it.
Carson Gomez
I cant say anything regarding the rest of Slipknot, but Corey Taylor is pretty openly liberal, so i doubt it. The idea of telling people to think for themselves and to not accept less isnt exactly some radical notion, and doesnt necessarily mean this is about npcs. The masks/suits dont really mean anything either, seeing as masks and jumpsuits have been a part of the band from the beginning as a part of the image they wanted to create. The second verse fits into that image too, because from the beginning theyve made themselves into an "other" to create an "us vs them" mentality among their fans to build a sense of community or whatever, making it ultimately nothing conceptually or lyrically unique from other songs theyve done before. Sounding redpilled != redpilled
Parker Nguyen
why do small dicked metal fags pretend they can understand the lyrics?
This to the point where he has ruined Slipknot for me had can such a high test lad be such a faggot mysteries of the universe

Jonathan Rogers
Listening to slipknot in current year literally is celebrating mediocrity and worshipping an empty shell, though.
Ayden Watson
I'VE HAD ONE DESIRE, SINCE I WAS BORN TO SEE MY BODY, RIPPED AND TORN TO SEE MY FLESH DEVOURED, BEFORE MY EYES IM HERE FOR YOU A VOLUNTEER, AS A HUMAN SACRIFICE
i've seen a few threads about this in the last couple of days. there are political interpretations of the song, but i saw it as a reaction to the music scene. the clown and corey have both been railing against the direction music has taken lately, and the music in the song is more of a groove-metal throwback to their first 2 albums, and the lyrics reinforce the idea that 'metal aint dead, we're still relevant fellow kids'
thats it, thats all. slipknot is dominated by the clown, artistically, and looking at it from there puts it in perspective
