What can we do about the global CO2 increase?

I don't really care about global warming or climate change, those things really don't concern me one bit, I actually like having nicer and hotter summers and more beautiful springs and falls.

But I am extremely concerned about the CO2 increase in our atmosphere. Anyone who ever slept with their windows closed or who has sat in a crowded badly ventilated room indoors, knows what high concentrations of CO2 can do to your body. Headaches, shortages of breath, increased heart rates, loss of concentration. We need to reverse the CO2 trend. But how? Is planting trees the only way?

who cares this is fake news and a ploy for a greater share of funding for research and expansion of "scripp's oceanographic institute" (i've never heard of *them*)

>What can we do about the global CO2 increase?
Note that CO2 increases FOLLOW temp increases

global warming/climate change is an industry unto itself and they want worldwide "carbon taxes" on top of that. it is an insidious thing far beyond that even.

you won't understand wtf i'm talking about unless you look into these things for yourself. so, you can do that (takes effort)... or blindly continue to go along with their agenda. whatever.

did you know having an ice cap is an anomaly? did you know that the earth has been ice cap free for ~90% of its existence? did you know by definition ice caps only exist during ice ages? did you know we are at the tail end of a CURRENT ice age now? did you know the caps extended as far down as missouri/kentucky just 20,000 years ago and have been receding ever since that peak? did you know the caps are going bye-bye even if every person on the planet disappeared 20,000 years ago?

THE OCEAN'S RELEASE *ALL ON ITS OWN* IS FAR LARGER AND MORE IMPORTANTLY *OUT ACCELERATING* MANS CONTRIBUTION

THE OCEAN IS RELEASING MORE DUE TO WARMER TEMPS (WARMER WATER = IT'S A FAR LESS EFFECTIVE C02 SINK)

IF HUMANS NEVER AROSE CO2 WOULD BE INCREASING AT ALMOST THE EXACT SAME RATE AS IT IS RIGHT NOW

THIS HAPPENS AT THE END OF EVERY ICE AGE

STOP BEING SO FUCKING GULLIBLE AND LAZY

LOOK INTO THINGS FOR YOURSELF AND STOP TAKING WHAT THE MSM, EPA.GOV AND NASA.GOV ETC. TELL YOU AT FACE VALUE, YOU LAZY SHITS. IT IS ABOUT POWER AND CONTROL.

ICE AGES AND PERMANENT ICE *ARE AN ANOMALY*

BY DEFINITION AN "ICE AGE" IS WHEN THE EARTH HAS PERMANENT ICE SHELVES

WE HAD ICE A MILE THINK IN CINCINNATI JUST 20,000 YEARS AGO

THE PLANET IS WARMING AND THE CAPS ARE METLING

THAT MEANS = MORE CO2, SEA RISE AND WEATHER PATTERN CHANGES

WE CAN'T STOP OR ALTER IT, WE WILL ADAPT JUST FINE

STOP BEING SCARED INTO TAX SCHEMES AND GLOBALIST POWER PLAYS YOU DUMBED DOWN ZOMBIES

I don't care about temperatures. I only care about CO2. How do we get CO2 out of the atmosphere? Is planting trees and harvesting them constantly and then storing the wood or using it for construction the only way?

this is how the eskimos were able to venture so far south and thusly colonize the continent

Who cares about greenhouse gases? Did you read my post?

there are ways but they cost money and f that

Plant more trees.

historically they do, because milankovich cycles spur the initial temperature increase which results in feedback loops. we're hotwiring that right now.

Attached: linkola.jpg (500x503, 59K)

yeah do something. i'll be damned if i have to drive a four cylinder automobile your encroaching on my rights

fuck you i will shoot you

Who the fuck cares? 70% of the planet is water so you'd be better off growing kelp

volcanic sulfide aerosols tend to have a cooling influence on the planet, as observed in the 80s. your graph is garbage

Alright suppose you take all of that at face value and we didn't cause this to happen. It's still a damn problem.

One that needs to be addressed, so how do we terraform the Earth to keep the oceans from becoming even more acidic, desertification from spreading, and ocean currents from fucking up further?

Stop farting.

>there are ways but they cost money
Planting trees cost money? I don't really think so. Planting and caring for trees doesn't cost anything if you make it a community effort. It just strengthens rural communities and makes people have a community effort on weekends.

1750 was 278 ppm, 1750 was also the little ice age, so I dunno man.

what do you have against concrete OP? roflamo commie go live in a hut and ride a horse

maybe shoot off your nuts with a bow and arrow you're not using them

>how do we change natural earth cycles that have gone on for billions of years
>lets fuck with nature, what could go wrong
>greenhouse gas
that's CO2, brainlet

increasing CO2 levels are coming from the ocean, they act as a CO2 sink, they release more the warmer they are, so unless you want to magically cool the earth, you can't stop it. plant all the trees you want, it won't even make a dent

you don't seem to even understand the basics

we are COMING OUT OF AN ICE AGE. this happens every time. earth is warming and the caps will go away. this is normal. CO2 is increasing as a result, this is normal.

kill all humans

>terraform the Earth
>i'm 12 by the way

You can't bitch about global warming causing the apocalypse and then also say that China and India gets to pollute as much as they want because we did the same shit 90 years ago.

Stop breathing, save the world, your sacrifice won’t be in vein jerry

>What can we do about the global CO2 increase?
>we
you mean china and india?

>70% of the planet is water so you'd be better off growing kelp
What?
I don't care about the water, I care about the CO2 in the atmosphere. There are 3000 billion tons of CO2 in the atmosphere. How can we reduce that back to 2000 billion tons?

Well, we got to remove 1000 billion tons of CO2 from the atmosphere, right? How can we do that? Well, harvest and plant trees. An adult tree at age 30 to 40 has sequestered a ton of CO2 if not more from the atmopshere. So we just need to harvest 1000 billion trees globally after we plant them. DONE. Why aren't we doing this??? It's just 5 trees per person per year for 30yrs. Completely doable.

Attached: Planting-Trees.jpg (1000x667, 633K)

>and then also say that China and India gets to pollute as much as they want because we did the same shit 90 years ago.
Who says that? I doubt the Chinese and Indians themselves want that. The entire Earth should run on Nuclear. There is no reason for oil and coal to still be considered viable energy sources.

Attached: Pollution Level Chinese.png (544x338, 205K)

Doesnt correlate linearly with temperature

>say that China and India gets to pollute as much as they want because we did the same shit 90 years ago.
Nobody is saying China and India should not also stop polluting you dumb cunt.
Strawman bullshit. Go play in traffic.

We can extract CO2 out of the atmosphere then turn it into gasoline.

People still think this is a lie but there are several profitable start ups who are going to turn CO2 into gasoline by drawing it out.

>Stop farting.
Farts are mostly nitrogen and only 9% CO2. It really doesn't do much. At 8 billion people at 15 farts a day and around 80ml per fart we are talking about 8 billion liters (8 million cubic meters) of fart per day or 8 million times 1.3kg or around 10 million kg. At 9% CO2, that's just 1,000 tons of CO2 from human farting a day. That's not even a rounding error...

>>lets fuck with nature, what could go wrong
>planting trees is "fucking with nature"

Come again?

Stop arguing guys. I told you, we can extract it from the atmosphere. Even Bill Gates is investing into this technology and we all know that jew wouldn't do it unless it's profitable.

Stop arguing over CO2 you just sound like dumb millennials.

>Stop breathing
Pretty sure that planting a few trees in an hour of your life makes more contribution to sequester CO2 than stopping breathing.

Sounds like it'd take a fuckton of energy, but I bet if we had more nuclear plants we could've done it yesterday.

>Bill Gates is investing into this technology
>technology

A forest isn't a "technology", it's just nature. We need to invest in forests, that is all.

>extract CO2 from atmosphere
>turn it into gasoline
>???
>climate change

Yeah, it is fucked up. When we can have just wood and use it in cars. People forget that wood burning has been used in normal cars before.

congratulations you finally realized the climate is irreperably fucked.

Now do what we do and stop giving a shit and enjoy what's left of our time on earth.

Seriously, give up, we can't reverse course now, it's too late.

>Now do what we do and stop giving a shit and enjoy what's left of our time on earth.

What's your problem with not wanting to replant trees in your shitty country? Most of America was forest, then you cut it all down. Why? I say, replant the trees in America and you are golden!

Attached: b7c9a05a10972b9194f1c88122bdf319.jpg (288x526, 100K)

Either that, or it's all a big load and there's nothing to even worry about (except how fucking stupid people are).

Kek, things have changed a bit since then.

Attached: trees_t_total_sm.jpg (1000x658, 163K)

>Kek, things have changed a bit since then.
It's not enough. You need to plant trees like crazy. At least half a billion acres of new forests.

_______

oday about one-third of the nation is forested.[citation needed] While total forest area has been relatively stable for the last 100 years (currently about 747 million acres (3,020,000 km2)), there have been significant regional shifts in the area and composition of the nation's forests. Reversion of marginal farmland in the east, large scale planting in the South, and fire suppression have contributed to increases in forest area. Urbanization, conversion to agriculture, reservoir construction, and natural disasters have been major factors contributing to loss of forests.[2] As of 2005, the United States ranked seventh in the rate of loss of its old growth forests.[3]

Eastern forests cover about 384 million acres (1,550,000 km2) and are predominantly broadleaf (74%), with the exception of extensive coniferous forests and plantations in the southern coastal region. These are largely in private ownership (83%). By contrast, about 363 million acres (1,470,000 km2) of western forests are predominantly coniferous (78%) and in public ownership (57%). Nearly ten million private individuals own about 422 million acres (1,710,000 km2) of forest and other wooded land. Most public forest land is held by four Federal agencies (United States Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service) as well as numerous state, county, and municipal government organizations.

>It's not enough. You need to plant trees like crazy. At least half a billion acres of new forests.
Not likely to happen. See that big beige part in the middle? That's mostly farmland, which we need a lot of. We've got over 300 million people to feed, many of whom, as I'm sure you're aware, like to get so fat they can barely move. Also the white parts in the West are mostly mountains and deserts, good luck planting forests there.

>See that big beige part in the middle? That's mostly farmland, which we need a lot of.

I doubt it. Meat production will shift to factories as laboratory meat and veggie alternatives and indoor farming take center stage. All this farmland can be converted to forests.

Fart less.

Read

Sucking the co2 out of the atmosphere is technology.

Go watch your women get raped by immigrants retarded German fuck.

Also planting trees is not enough to offset Co2 emissions. I've seen like 100 articles about how it isn't going to do shit anymore.

>no source
>bullshit graph.

>parroting the same graph over and over

Okay so the climate scientists of Jow Forums apparently have a SINGLE source where they get all their "cimate change is a hoax" "scientists just want to monetize clean energy and actually hate the earth" shit

Magnesite. We will grow massive amounts of magnesite. This mineral is a better carbon scrubber than what we currently manufacture and there was a recent breakthrough on cultivating it.

Generate more CO2, I recommend doing bbqs every weekend and burning forests in third world countries. The end needs to come faster

Attached: 1490428659174.png (247x249, 82K)

anything below .02% c02 causes plants to stop growing normally.
I'd rather have too much c02 than too little.

What? All of that is totally relevant and fits in perfectly with the stated topic.

Just s stop dumping shit in the ocean, the phytoplankton are the best way of curatin clearing Co2

You have been drinking too much of propaganda kool-aid. CO2 levels were 20-30 TIMES higher when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. The only real issue (with global warming) is thawing about of Antarctica and Arctic, slight see level rise (and running real estate investment) and resettlement of people further inland but it won't happen over night so it is an non-issue, really. BUT access to inner Earth once all ice is gone - NOW that is much bigger problem ;-)
