I don't know who is trying to kill Derby Lane but the law could have been stricter requirements on how the dogs are treated. For the most part they're treated pretty well but there isn't as much oversight as I'd like personally. Most puppers leave pretty traumatized and too many get put down IMO, I don't care if they're somebody's property or not.

There's some things you might want to vote yes on.
IIRC dogs are pack hunters, not competitors. They take turns chasing prey so that no one animal gets tired and the pack can eat. But that's terrible for sports betting. So they have to be trained against their natural instincts to let the lead dog lead and occaisonally switch out to run the prey down, causing high amounts of stress as they jockey for position.
