Well since I have full custody I dont pay any of that, she was only entitled to a year and a half of alimony since we were married for 6yrs (1 year for every 5 years your married here in ohio). So instead of me paying her anything I told her I wont bother going after child support since I made the money. So in the end I walked away with my cars, house, kids, bank account and retirement still intact. A very rare case for a guy but it happens.

because when a woman takes half your assets and sues you for financial support, the government gets a piece of that pie. Originally it was handled by the state, but then the state sold the rights to manage spousal support/child support money to the federal government. So when you get divorced and are court ordered to pay money, you first send it to the state government, who then takes a share and sends the rest to the federal government, who then takes a share and then sends it back to the state government who takes another share and then after removing processing fees they send it to your spouse. This is why the majority of the time, the children are given to the lowest income earning partner/lowest potential income earning partner... its so the government can get a bigger chunk of free money.

The catholic church called divorce anullments back then because the term "divorce" wasn't a thing yet. For all intents and purposes his marriage "anullments" were divorces. He got to keep his dowrys and his wives got a cut at the end. In an anullment that doesn't happen.
