What is the simplest way to explain that the military, post office, fire department aren't socialism just because they are paid for with taxes? I've explained the heirarchy, that those employed do not make the rules/control anything and that wealth isn't redistributed to them, rather, they are paid for their work & ability to perform the given task.
Debating a retard
No one actually makes this argument other than straemanning retarded liberals like yourself.
they're literally socialism tho
next you're gunna try to claim socialist security isn't socialism
The government should do the bare minimal to protect life, liberty, property, and prosperity.
Socialism is basically living on a credit card. The bill comes due eventually. The police and firefighters are paid with real money (mostly) that is taken from your check. Social programs are usually borrowed.
Would a Fascist country be implementing Socialism with those same services? They predate Socialism.
tl/dr
You take a sip of water and say YOU STUPID FUCKING RETARD!! MILITARYS, WAYS OF DELIVERING THINGS, FIGHTING FIRES, HAVE BEEN AROUND SINCE THE CAVE MAN DAYS AND CERTAINLY DURING THE ROMAN EMPIRE. KARL MARX DIDN'T THINK UP SOCIALISM UNTIL THE 1800'S YOU STUPID LEFTIST UNEDUCATED IDIOT!! Then you place your straw in your mouth and finish your pudding.
He also said that Capitalism is immoral because niggers in Chicago live at 3rd world levels, where I countered with the fact that Capitalism has brought more people out of poverty than any other economic system ever. I pointed out rappers and basketball players that would have never made it to be millionaires under any other system and the fact that Capitalist countries provide the most foreign aide. Wasn't enough.
Explain that fire protection is necessary because a fire can happen anywhere, whereas hurricanes, land slides, tornadoes, floods, etc. don't.
I should have ended the conversation when he told me that spending 3 months in a tent smoking from the peace pipe at the DAPL protest was the most eye-opening experience of his life. wew
I look at it like this: socialism and communism function best within the umbrella of a capitalist economy.
Take the military as example;
>servicemen are property of the government
>individual liberty is sacrificed in service to the state
One could argue that the United States military is the only successful example of communist organization in human history.
The "workers" take orders from a chain of command, with the top not even being members of the military.
lamao how much can be borrowed from SS trust fund this week
Are you joking? It is said that fund is a bunch of IOU's and even the IOU's have IOU's. Now congress is writing IOU's on Medicare/medicaid.
Yeah, the US government is supposed to work like that in theory but politicians are corrupted by central banks who are incentivized to get the treasury to spend spend spend...even if it takes endless perpetual wars to justify the massive borrowing by the Federal government.
"it is said"
the IOUs (deficit spending since 1980s) are the loans taken out against the trust fund. why else would they call it a trust fund?
30 year old zoomer
>being this retarded
Social Security, like all welfare state programs, has no trust fund and is merely a pyramid scheme for wealth redistribution. It requires an ever-growing population to supply the necessary worker base to allow resources to be diverted from young workers who are trying to raise children to the dying elderly.
>the loans taken out against the trust fund
There is no trust fund. It is merely an accounting tool based on a theoretical future value of tax receipts.
Those dying elderly also put into it. . . .
tfw the guy talking on the youtube podcast might of been wrong
Natural monopolies
The post office used to be, nowadays the utilities for communication should be subsidized by the state the same way instead of package delivery.
Border: natural Monopoly. There is only one border that goes around a territory.
Laws: natural Monopoly. Everyone has to live under the same set or you get revolution
Also State of Alaska employees contribute to a plan called SBS-AP so you can argue that not everyone is required to be in Social Security.
"The State of Alaska discontinued its participation in the Federal Social Security System on December 31, 1979. In lieu of Social Security, the Alaska Supplemental Annuity Plan (SBS-AP) provides an alternative benefit plan. Participating in the Supplemental Annuity Plan is mandatory for all State employees"
