Future of California

Realistically, what do you guys predict for the future of Cali?

As someone who was raised in California, California's self-image as an enlightened place comes from the state's long standing status as a major global powerhouse for culture, economic strength, and academics, as well as architecture and natural beauty. Here's the big question: Do kids under ten years old, including those living in gated communities in the Bay Area, know the California that even the Millennials knew? No. They know a Hollywood that was on its way to becoming culturally irrelevant before they were even born, a Silicon Valley that's past its prime, an academia that more closely resembles a church than an institution of science, and failing cities that are covered in potholes and filled with homeless druggies. And as much as a bunch of hysterical ratty old women might try to pretend otherwise, being the headquarters of resistance against the destroyer of economies and nations that was Bush is not the same as being the headquarters of resistance against the polar opposite in Trump.

I predict that modern Californian culture can't possibly sustain itself for another generation. You need to have the early 2000s permanently burned into your eyes in order to see it as any kind of enlightened beacon of prosperity.

Hopefully at the bottom of the ocean.

CA will last about 20 more years than die. Everyone intelligent is leaving. Businesses are leaving. The poor and the super wealthy live there. It is not sustainable.

The future of California is THE FUTURE. Gated communities and internment camps, slums and skid rows.

Get to work showing us how the world is going to play out.

What does "dying" look like, though? I thought about the idea of LA and San Fransisco going the way of Detroit, with California regressing into being a rural state of sorts over the next century, but they have the major benefit of being a coastal state with established port cities.

That's why I suspect that it won't just implode entirely, but that the culture will die and be replaced by something that's more practical than Marxist horseshit.

LOL, sweaty, sit down and listen like a good child. Maybe that was just you're inherent misogyny/racism speaking but California is one of the best states and you're just a butthurt redneck who just wants to cry WAHHHHHH and say that our poor wittle future is sad and bleak :( Well heres a news flash for you trumptard, our economy is huge and it sure as hell has got gdp to back it up. It absolutely towers over whatever red state irrelevant you'd probably point out as good. And guess what? We are diverse and accepting! Cali is strong. Strong and diverse, strong because we're diverse and you might want to whimper and cry 'b-but diversity isn't s-strength...' but anyone with a brain knows you're just a scared little bigot. Go cry to your mommies because Cali is big, blue and here to stay.

Currently a CAfag. Live in Sacramento (as it’s the only place I can afford), and work all over. I’m currently on the 210, coming home from a job in San Diego.

I think California is doomed by the socialist policies they’re always pumping out.
>mandating women be on corporate boards
>increasing tax rates constantly
>single payer health care pipe dreams

California cannot survive this way. If the politicians here get their way, the state won’t make it another twenty years. For all of the money that comes from the PC fags and kikes in Silicon Valley, California’s real economic night comes from agriculture. As they increase minimum wage, they’ll make it harder for farmers to get by, and as cities expand their suburbs infinitely, buying out farm land, and building houses that no one can afford, the rest of the economy is sinking, and middle class cunts like myself are drowning.

California’s future will be determined after the midterms. That’s when we’ll have an idea of how much longer this stare lives.

I grew up in California and escaped last year.
It will decay until it looks like a horrible mix between Bangladesh and Somalia.

Fuck if I know nigga but I'm squeezing every last penny out of this dystopian hellscape before a flee back to America.

>but that the culture will die and be replaced by something that's more practical than Marxist horseshit.
False, the average IQ is plummeting as shitskins takeover.

>lefties, who are supposedly primarily concerned with the living standards of the little guy, are now using GDP as a valid measure of an economy's health as it effects people who don't have $10,000,000+ in the bank account

Here's a redpill: The left has a lust for power where its moral compass should be. All of the stuff about being anti-war? Anti-big business? Muh black female voice? It comes and goes as is convenient for the aims of creating a socialist utopia.

I'll give you a bit redpill bro:
"The left" only cares about one thing: destroying western civilization.

Hopefully we will get a modern day hitler coming from SF. God forbid not the proud boys tho. I don’t see it happening anytime soon. During Weimar, there were a shot ton of angry people. Cali liberals are totally deluded and think everything is fine and awesome.

I don't know why all you cowards are running away from here. When the shit goes down I want to be at ground zero.

Yoshinoya is delicious though.

Hollywood ->Spreads out into GA and wherever Netflix is shooting films around the country.

SV -> Already mostly split into datacenters around the country and cheap land, physical proximity is next to meaningless in IT

Politics -> The idiots leaving Cali will vote in socialist policies wherever they land without the benefit of concentrated SV and Hollywood industries to buoy them and be shocked at how fast they fail.

Environment -> Havenots will turn it into a shithole before the earthquakes and drought finish them off

Expounding on my prior a bit:

Napa Valley -> Dependent on SV and Hollywood maintainers, will dry up when they do.

Humboldt and farther north -> The only sustainable portion, will be lucky if Oregon picks it up.

Sacramento -> Will be burned down in civil war with angry state rioters and/or martial law from the rest of the country in a mini civil war.

>Politics -> The idiots leaving Cali will vote in socialist policies wherever they land without the benefit of concentrated SV and Hollywood industries to buoy them and be shocked at how fast they fail.

More importantly, California is a left wing echo chamber, and the right wingers who are out there are completely incapable of putting together any sort of coherent argument against big government.

Good luck forming a left wing echo chamber in Texas.
