Pic related is possibly one of the most inconceivably, unimaginably, irredeemably, and irreparably Jewish things I've ever read.
And there's a shitload more of similar stuff in the Talmud. The amount of shit in their involving money is ridiculous, like, really true to stereotype. As an anti-Semite it's a laugh a minute and if I were a Jew, particularly a modern or secular one, I would be fucking embarrassed as hell.
There's a funny one about how Jews aren't supposed to carry coins on the Sabbath, because if they fell down, then the Jew would have to pick it up, and then break the law. But, if two Jews are sitting at a table, and they want to pass a coin, one to the other, they are allowed to use a stick to push it over. (I swear I am not making this shit up.) The stick-pushing, I would imagine, makes it far more likely for the money to fall down, and if you are desperate enough to push the money with a stick, then you are probably going to pick it up if it falls down, but if you care enough to push it with a stick, then you aren't going to want to violate shabbos by picking it up, but if you care enough about shabbos to avoid picking it up, then you'll want to use a stick, because the Talmud specifically mentions it.
Only Jews would create a book that is basically about getting away with shit that is against their own religious law and figure it makes them super pious; in fact, it is basically the essence of Judaism. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? The "Jewish Bible," i.e. the TaNaKh, i.e. the Hebrew Old Testament? Naaaah they don't really give a fuck & haven't since some time after the time of Christ
The 'scribes and Pharisees,' of course, literally went on to found modern Judaism, but, of course, in the name of 'religious dialogue,' we are taught that they were the 'corrupt leaders of Judaism at the time'
