It represents the hatred of God and is extremely offensive to Christians. The rainbow is the symbol of God's promise never to erase life on earth because of how evil and degenerate it's become.

A symbol given to represent mercy toward evil people is now used by those same evil people to mock the God that gave it. Homosexuals using this symbol is deliberate and intentionally abhorrent to Christians because the spiritual motivator of homosexuality is a hatred of God.
