I still can't believe that because it's fucking bunkers. I just realized one thing about the Nate Silver "model". The classic model (the default one) adds one weight called "fundamental", which takes in consideration the current Congressional Generic Vote polls with the same weight the actual vote in that district in the previous elections.
See pic related for [1], it gives a weight of R+10 because it vote that margin for Romney and Trump but deducts 8.2 because of the "generic congressional poll" Not only that but, based on fundraising differences, it adds even more "penalty" to a candidate, in this case, 3.2.
