How do you deal with it? Do you deal with it? Do you just don't go to the movies, watch tv, or listen to radio anymore.
I used to be able to separate the politics from the art but, I don't think I can anymore. It's too much. I don't have fun going out and doing things anymore.
I don't let politics control my life but it's just being forced on me everywhere I look.
They used to be interesting in an "exotic" way but now they are boring because they are too commonly used. not just boring, insanely boring because I can't even relate to their emotions or understand their jive talk. As boring as watching a foreign movie.

I don't watch new films. I don't watch most television. There are a lot of talented content creators on the Internet that make me laugh far more than anything on television these days. I read classic novels. I watch classic films. Trust me, you'll never run out of old movies to watch. I closed my Facebook account. If I see in the news an actor/brand/whatever is getting political, I stop supporting them, though typically it's a brand of food I don't eat, or whatever.
There are reasons these assholes write opinion pieces about how unacceptable older movies or books are now (racist, sexist, etc.). One day they will burn it all and force us to only drink in the new garbage or have no entertainment at all.

From my personal experience being an extra on a couple shows and knowing a lot of people in the entertainment industry; These people dont have TIME to understand politics. They are always 100% sucked into what theyre working on. The lifestyle is hectic and consuming, and i fail to have genuine deep conversations with anyone i meet in it. If they arent actors, they wantto be and if they dont want that theyre still constantly trying to sell themselves. Their opinions are dishonest uninformed and only held for appearances. Being crammed into everything makes it worse because now all the impressionable idiots who base their world view on harry potter and dr who will just parrot it and they dont ever take their noses out of their fan smut long enough to know what day it is, let alone understand the complexities of political problems. I generally dont watch movies until my friends say theyre good, i generally only play games i research pretty well and i really only read books that are old as fuck because i hate the dishonesty of modern political virtue signaling
