I made hay for eight years; business I was in was a niche market, market crashed and burned. Have been looking for gainful employment for two years. Luckily still have savings.

I send dozens of applications a week to tech support jobs like that, why would they hire me when there are fresh graduates lining up to do those jobs?

This. I used to be a Network Administrator for a large pharmaceutical company. I made a 6 figure income. I loved my job. Then we got a new female boss right after Y2K (((hello fellow whites))) who walked into our area and looked around and said "disgusting. Just disgusting" and walked out.

One week later we were all "downsized" and they brought in some H-1B workers with some temp agency. From people I knew there they told me everything turned to shit because these people didn't know how to do anything. But it didn't matter because our company was then gobbled up by a larger one.

The interesting thing was I and others tried to find other jobs in IT. We used Monster and Dice. I had zero offers for interviews. None of my white co-workers had offers as well. Each of us had to reinvent ourselves. I ended up working at a bookstore part time and then at Wal Mart in shipping and receiving part time. I couldn't even find a job as management trainee for places like WalMart or Walgreens. I went back to school and became a plumber and now I buy old houses and fix them up. That is what I do for a living now. I do about 2 houses a year and I make a decent living off that. But I miss going to Comdex and working in the computer field and I am bitter that I feel that career was stolen from me.

I suspect that those who identified as white using Monster and Dice never had their resumes forwarded to any of the employees. I found it really odd that none of my white co-workers at the time ever got another job in IT again.

basically this. my personal experiences were greatly influenced by having a single mother raise me, and a weak father. I was sexually abused by non-family members a few times and that fucked me up pretty bad, but I dont feel like im deserving of success. I dont want to be a failure, but I do want a quite reserved life in a solitary space away from people.

I think there is a growing lack of trust in fellow men. Everybody is out for themselves and foregoes any encouragement from companions. People are trending toward self gratification rather than gratifying others. Its always been that way, what am I saying?
