Losing the house isn't great, because it just means 2 more years of a do-nothing House. With the GOP in charge of the Senate, nothing gets through, and no legislation hits Trumps desk. Obama only had control for 2 years of his 8, and the GOP had both for the last two. This looks to be a replay of the same thing, but the sides flipped - first two years for Trump, the middle 4 (yes, he'll win again), and the last two he'll most likely lose control.

And, just like under Obama, NOTHING will get done.

Whenever you have a Congress that's at least part one party and a President who's the other, only softball bipartisan stuff gets through and the work on party values stops.

Dems could theoretically try to impeach if they took the house but it'd be pointless given that they have no way to gain enough seats in the Senate for it to work. A successful impeachment would require a real crime, at which point a Republican senate would participate enough anyway.
