the problem wasn't Trump's fighting ability. The problem was a number of open seats (especially those in areas HRC won), and the fact that Paul Ryan and much of the House (and Senate) obstructed Trump on multiple issues and thereby prevented legislative victories to run on. Hell, they wouldn't even bring things to the floor to force a vote to make a show of it, in some areas.
Blame it on mostly oldschool Rs or RINOs who hated Trump and cut off their nose to spite their face, or the TeaParty-type holdouts who won't compromise on anything.
