Literally every single president since 1982 (expect for bush after 9/11) has lost the house to the opposing party, that's just how American elections work. But this time it's the closest lose ever, so it will actually be easier recapturing the house for next time.

We lost man. They just expected a bigger victory. And now they have a real chance in 2020 because of WI MI & PA. Trump is a 1 term lame duck who has achieved nothing.

He's going to get BTFO by le based centrists in 2020

>We
Fuck off, shill. Dems have a smaller than expected House majority, lost Senate seats due to based Kavanaugh, and all of their favorite candidates lost
>Abrams btfo
>Bredesen btfo
>Nelson btfo
>Beta btfo
>Heitkamp btfo
>Donnelly btfo
>McCaskill btfo
If this is really the best Dems can do they’ve given up all hope of being a national party.

Jesus fucking Christ, libtards think they won, other libtards think they lost, Jow Forumstards think they won, other Jow Forumstards think they lost
So what is it now?

all at the same time, don't you see

This dose not compute with my programming, I need a 0 for crying or a 1 for cheering

>If you get more votes than your enemies, they win
I'm enjoying the massive amount of COPE this morning

shitlibs are totally fucked

I don’t see how you look at this election and think it’s anything other than a GOP win. Not a HUGE win sure but still a win

Ok sadiq

chaos and confusion always

Keith was already a Muslim so whatever. Washington's gun law is the real loss

It means we have another 2 years of the bullshit media narrative to deal with. But 2020 bodes well for Trump.

a win would have been a super majority

I keep seeing minnesota tards uninronically say they voted for her because "LOL SHE HATES JEWS" "INCEST IS WINCEST" and other retarded crap, but her victory just cements that Minnesota is a Somali shithole now. Avoid at all costs, and laugh when their failures implode on then.

A supermajority was never going to happen in either house.

Yep. You're winners alright.

((((They)))) won

>W-WE WON GUISE I SWEAR
The Drumpfcuck cope is strong

House isn't even 2/3rds dem, therefore the House is utterly useless now. The Senate will have to be what keeps the Trump train rolling.

Literal NPC mentality

no this is a referendum :) trump btfo :)

>Minimized House losses despite dozens of Republican retirements
>Picked up several unexpected Senate seats
Explain how this isn’t a win for the GOP without resorting to MUH COPE

Brainlet detected. At least you have a promising career as a 538 propagandist.

That was kind of the whole purpose

We won user, we won.

Good luck trying to get anything done when the House is Democrat-controlled.

He's just fishing for yous

so trump is just another pres?

>we lost like 8 governors and 30 house seats
>WINNING
yeah now I understand why you also consider it winning when achmed and tyrone fuck your wife while you masturbate to it in your cuckshed

considering we have decades of data that shows large midterm losses for the party in power
and we lost very few seats
and gained in the senate
with all the media and entertainment industries constantly demonizing us
and the Dems will now be headed by Nancy Pelosi, a proven senile windbag who once confused President Trump with President Bush
and they're still so unprepared for 2020 that they're suddenly pushing Beta of all people

I'd say we won
(but still, keeping the House would have been nice)

Attached: equalpayfortaytay.png (580x799, 302K)

good luck winning 2020 without florida due to criminals being able to vote and newer 18 yo registering for dems to vote

Trump has already achieved a large part of his agenda. Now he’ll just rule by EO like Obummer, sucks when the shoe is on the other foot doesn’t it

Trump didn’t need Florida in 2016. He would have won with or without it. Same story in 2020.

reddit.com/r/politics/comments/9uzdh1/make_no_mistake_the_midterms_were_a_democratic/

meanwhile on reddit they're calling the media biased for stating the irrefutable fact that Obama lost twice as many seats in 2010 than Trump did. But they explain it away by blaming gerrymandering done by the teaparty in 2011 and claiming that Dems won a larger % of the vote in 2018 than republicans did in 2010. What do you guys think? Cognitive dissonance at work, or do they actually have a point?

Yeah Drumpf is done in 2020. Once the recession hits next year its over.

Arguing about muh popular vote is like the losing team in a football game whining that they gained more yards. Literally does not matter

>Now he’ll just rule by EO
Unsurprising that commies are illiterate

>still calling it a wave

>one of the first
They'll milk this first shit forever.

nobody fucking won dipshit it was milquetoast for everybody and everybody is unhappy, welcome to democracy

COPE

It's not as effective as having the House. Not everything he wants to do will happen with EO.

Thats because there is no way to spin it, the democrats ate it bad last night. Ginsburg ain't gonna make it to 2020 and the democrats have no way of stopping another scotus pick.

>not as effective as having the House
He’ll get it back in 2020
>Not everything he wants to do will happen with EO.
Except that’s basically what Obama did

Apples and oranges. Executive power expanded bigly under bush and obama though.

>They just expected a bigger victory.
That's the point. Six months or so ago, they were absolutely justified in believing that they'd sweep the board.

Nominally, Trump is the most unpopular president in American history. The Democrats spent more money on this midterm election than on any previous one. They shoved all of their best candidates forward at once. They spent the last two years firing up their base to vote, to the point where fifty thousand cat ladies spent all of their free time watching anti-Trump propaganda and talking about the coming blue wave. And for what? A smaller than usual swing in the House, and a swing in the other direction in the Senate. This is probably the most underwhelming, unimpressive midterm election in our lifetimes. They had everything, at least they thought they did, and it failed to produce anything substantial.

>Swiss shit doesn't understand American politics
>Chimes in anyway
They lost potentially 30, in a house of 435, still counting a good chunk, and even then they lost only have of what Obama lost. They gained seats in the Senate, which is basically unheard of. Still have a 25/22 in governor elections R/D. So it comes down to:
>Senate
Win
>House
Small defeat
>Governors
Minor victory
>Judiciary
Secured by Senate majority for further appointments and shitting on 9th circus courts

Democrats get PR and budget decisions out of the House now, that's it, Trump got basically all the legislature he wanted. It's the era of the Presidential Pen until 2020 and democrats can't do fuck all about it

Blue wave stopped by Red wall
Time to solve some problems and denounce partisan harassment.

Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky! We import cheap labor from poor brown countries, work it cheaper than local labor and then tell everyone how much good we are doing for the under privileged.

Pinky: But what if the old labor doesn't like their new neighbors?

Brain: Then we call them racists and send in the National Guard to MAKE them like their new neighbors.

>Time to solve some problems and denounce partisan harassment.
Yeah just as soon as the left stops calling everyone nazis

>claiming that Dems won a larger % of the vote in 2018
It makes sense when you view it through the lens of socialism. They believe every vote should be a national vote because all people are the same people. They also believe (they won't admit this) they should be told who to vote for, because government is their father and father knows best. After 20 years of this they would believe that they don't need to vote at all, leaders can pick themselves.
As long as everything is filtered through socialism first, they're fine with it.
But swap it around to give power to non-socialists and they'd have a problem with everything I just said.

Socialism is a substitute religion. It's why we need to get back to Christianity. Not the current cucky Churchianity, but real Christianity. The kind that people used to go to war over.

This

>Yeah just as soon as the left stops calling everyone nazis
they can´t this is quintessential in identity politic
how else would identity politic else work? you always need an enemy

Not quite, for the first time in 30 years, then Senate didn't flip with the House, and picked up seats.

This is primarily what I'm talking about
"Whitelash" activitsts on TV need to go

>this happenned in the country which hosted the 9/11
I would be really depressed but I am gone too far

Nobody really "won" this election, but we lost the long game.
We really really, needed to get a handle on the immigration problem but that is gonna be almost, impossible without the house.
Trump will do what he can with EOs but who knows if it will be enough

The ride never ends

>Trump most unpopular president in American history
Sure thing, toothpaste flag. A Trump rally can pack a stadium. Clinton/Obama can't fill up a high school gym.

Attached: 1474983594162.jpg (413x395, 67K)

>we lost the long game
No not at all. The lefts agenda NEEDS SCOTUS to uphold it since most of it was done with "a pen and and phone". Ginsburg isn't going to make it to 2020. One more conservative SCOTUS pick and the left is finished for 30 years.

Just admit you don't know what "nominally" means

Trump is the Marmite President. 40% of Americans love him, 10% are indifferent and can like or dislike him based on a range of circumstances, and 50% of Americans hate him.

But apart from that, you need to walk a mile in these people's shoes to understand just what a crushing experience this was for them. No matter how many Americans like or dislike Trump in reality, in their minds 80% of Americans hate Trump. Because of that belief, they expected the Blue Wave to result in the Democrats grabbing 70-100 seats in the House plus a majority in the Senate and the Florida governorship. These people believed that there would be this huge, unprecedented uprising against Trump resulting in all big Republicans losing their seats. The fact that it hasn't happened, that this election was a dud, is fucking killing them.

Wasn't she running against a full blown nigger?

oh shit, another tico in the wild

do not eat from the tree of the knowledge

It doesn't make sense to me, last night I stood in a long line, in the cold to vote. When I learned we kept the Senate, but lost the House, I was a bit bummed but I cheered myself up with some vidya and hung out with my wife.

Now I feel great. If what you say is true, it doesn't make much sense. Sure, it wasn't the greatest victory the dems have ever had, it wasn't a devastating defeat, but it was a victory on their part. They can now gridlock Trump with the house, and cause other problems.

Why the fuck would this be killing them? Each political battle is part of a larger war, shouldn't they be happy about this foothold they've gained?

Attached: Chicky_nuggets.gif (200x200, 891K)

>t. Radical centrist

It means two years of Dems trying to flex their tiny nuts but making themselves look like morons instead. It’s easy to obstruct and take potshots when you’re the House minority, but when it’s your house, even if just barely, the shoe is on the other foot. Just wait and see what happens as the Dems attempt to DELIVER.

>Lost governors in KS, WI, MI, IL, held on in PA

He can win without Florida, but how about Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania?

It’s a GOP loss but the Democrats really underperformed. The House always flips to the opposing party but Dems didn’t score a ton there and they lost a lot of important governors and the Republicans added a good few senators who stay around a lot longer than house representatives. Trump’s tax returns will be published but this was pretty much inevitable.

We’re sending troops to the border to stop the caravan, and now with Cruz and Abbot firmly cemented in place, no one is going to stop it.

Trump is finally delivering on his promise of The Wall, it’s just that no one was expecting it to be made out of lead instead of bricks.

Attached: EDFAEA0C-7DCC-430C-BB92-56674911B776.jpg (653x490, 52K)

>Why the fuck would this be killing them?
1. They're oversocialized. They attach a lot of value to being part of the majority and the future, which is why in 2016 they kept going on about the "popular vote", and it's why they keep talking about being on the "right side of history".
2. They've spent the last two years on a solid, uninterrupted diet of anti-Trump information. This has distorted their view of the American public. They thought almost everyone agreed with them, and this would be the end of Trump.
3. They've invested a ton of their own time and money in this. There are probably millions of people out there who donated to the Krassensteins, and bought Comey's book, and watched Rachel Maddow religiously.

We can hardly begin to comprehend how bad this feels for them. It's a bit like living your life in a desolate monastery, expecting to go to heaven when you die, but when you're 85 years old and have no contacts outside the monastery you find out that heaven doesn't exist.

Hahah, keith ellison was beat by a sand nigger

Without a supermajority the house literally does not matter

But I’m sure you’ll impeach trump aaaaany day now

Obama lost 70+ seats in the House. Trump lost 34.

Damn, Obama must be more hated than Trump!

That's not the point. The point is, if you look at Trump's approval ratings across the last 2 years, you'd be correct in thinking - if you assumed, as these people do, that these polls are correct - that Trump is highly unpopular.

Hard to call democrats replacing RINO's that quit. Same thing diffent lett. At least Dems have the decency to show their party unlike those like of Ryan.

Attached: 1539740845459.jpg (431x768, 114K)

Because Trump can now legislate through executive orders with impunity. The house doesn’t have the 2/3 majority to consider impeachment, and even if they did the senate would stop it.

Libs will now literally have to keep Ginsburg on life support as well, hoping against hope that she’ll just fucking survive until a Democrat winds up in the whitehouse again. Because if she doesn’t? Republican senate gains means that Flake can’t fuck things up anymore.

Essentially the bases are loaded, and republicans are primed for a grand fucking slam. Dems are on a tightrope right now.

To say the best it would be split decision victory for GOP.

No Red tide, but purple fart instead of Blue Wave.

And then RBG dies lol.

Attached: clarencethomas.gif (600x338, 2.42M)

Nobody won shit

At the height of the Kavannaugh situation, Trump had an approval rating as good if not marginally higher than Obama at the exact same time into their respective presidencies. It's trended downward do to the pipe bomber nonsense, but it's still fairly on-par with Obama's trajectory

The house is the same as it ever was, full of never trumpers. The senate is where fun happens, losing that would have been devastating.

Won? Governorships and state houses flipped blue across the country. Now they get to draw the election maps. This was the last thing holding the Republican power base together. We have a problem.

>We
C'mon now bruh.
How is this not any different than any other midterm in the last 20+ years? States come and gone. Every incumbent president won re-election since Clinton. Another two years of ineffectual government but with democrat obstructionism. Same old song and dance.

Attached: 1540695280981.jpg (450x338, 23K)

>one of the first
So not even THE first. What a non-accomplishment.

The jews have won, as usual.

Libs lost 2 Senate seats
Gained 7 governors
Gained 26 house seats

They would make that trade again in a heartbeat. Would you?

What the fuck is wrong with you Minnesota? Not only did you let a fuckin dune coon win, she won easily. Well i've lost all respect for your state, you are now lumped in with commiefornia and jew york. Fucking pathetic.

Maybe she will be the first congresswoman to throw a fag off a roof lol.
