>BACKGROUND Jair Messias Bolsonaro is a Brazilian congressman and former military officer. He has served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies, representing the state of Rio de Janeiro, since 1991. In an unprecedented presidential run, spending significantly less than his adversaries, under constant fire from the mainstream media, and having survived an assassination attempt, Bolsonaro was elected by the popular vote to the presidency of Brazil. He will take office as the 38th president in January 1st 2019.
Bolsonaro is a pro-gun, pro-life, conservative Christian. He's looking to modernize the lethargic Brazilian economy with the aid of UChicago economist Paulo Guedes and he also wants to align Brazil's foreign policy with Western nationalist governments against the influence of China, Eurasianism and Bolivarian socialism. He has a hard stance on crime and supports increasing the power of police forces and the army to tackle Brazil's drug and violence problems.

Responding to this faggot Gajo: It has become customary for weak governments and banana republics to blindly follow the US. This has never been the case in Brazil.
We did not make the gross error of Portugal of acting as colony of the great continental power. We joined the United States in two World Wars, just because our ships were targets of gratuitous aggression. In the first, we simply send In the second, we demanded a large steel plant in exchange for effective military support.
Do not think everyone acts like a doormat. We did not inherit this defect of yours.
We cooperate with whoever interests to us. We support those who are worth it, and while it is. We retaliate whoever threatens our interests. And we trade with everyone. This is - and always has been - our diplomacy.
Britain learned this, by the hard way, in the nineteenth century, when we cut off relations. The US learned this in decade of 1970, when we forced them to withdraw their military bases, and began a nuclear program against their wishes.
Feel free to continue to be a NATO doormat. It is not as if there is any remaining area of yours to be decolonized by now...
Andrew Richardson
41 votes in favor 16 against 1 abstention

Blake Hill

Justin Torres
Do we have a list of who voted for this?
Isaiah Young

Kevin Scott
Not yet but soon we will
Angel Gutierrez
STF is basically taunting Bolsonaro, and all of us.
BNDES has a youtube channel >youtube.com/user/bndesgovbr

I believe yes, but I don't know where we can find such info. although, we can easily information about which party approved it.
what surprises me the most, is the fact that our biggest "enemies" like PT or PCdoB, voted against it. really makes me think...
Christopher Ortiz
Yeah but Brazil gets ignored by most game developers. The rare times they focus on Brazil is only because of the favelas and the violence. I dont like the idea of using public money....but i like Kuruminha(Assassins creed Brazil with Kuruminha fucking when?!)
> It has become customary for weak governments and banana republics to blindly follow the US. This has never been the case in Brazil. HUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUE UNTIL INFINTY AND BEYOND.

Well, we're fucked now. Guedes will have to find some way to compensate for this mess
He seems to be actively trying to be a good president in these last months, I think he might. It -could- be a problem if he has to trade not-vetoing it so he can pass the social security reform.
Hudson Clark
(((NOVA ERA)))
Lucas Flores
AS far as i know yes, she has the credentials and has positioned herself as a friend of the farmers.
Elijah Ortiz
I'd take the veto. Even if Temer helps us, I doubt this crooked ass Congress will pass the Social Security reform.
Levi Allen
Bolsonaro has no choice but to accept it, just like he has to accept a MDB leader in both the senate and house. Otherwise, our deepstate/centrão will sabotage things, blame him and impeach him before he even gets sworn in.
This vote in particular is worrisome because it gets directly in the way of fixing our economy, something which centrão is forced to accept otherwise they get fucked along with all of us. But they are showing they are crazy enough to risk fucking everything up if he doesn't comply with them completely.
