I've seen no verification of Rosenstein yet, but Sessions being canned is not only a power move by Trump (he basically told the Dems he doesn't give a fuck if they hold the house), it is common for the WH to do cleaning after midterms, so this should be no surprise to anyone. However, the timing and circumstances are interesting. If Rosenstein is gone, Mueller is all out of friends to protect him at DOJ. Whitaker is not recused like Keebler was, and he doesn't like Mueller at all, nor what he is doing with this BS investigation. So, he's in deep shit.

If there were any dirt on Trump, the dems would've forced it out so they could sweep the whole congress in a landslide.

Trump asked Sessions to leave, and he obliged. Most people think that POTUS is going after Mueller because he might be about to indict Donald Trump, Jr.

If Rosenstein actually resigns at Trump's request or gets fired, the new person might try to fire Mueller. Then again, they can't actually do that because of Justice Department regulations. If they do, whoever ordered it will get hammered by the House and Mueller will get rehired anyway.
