Taxes

Can anyone explain the whole "Trump doesn't pay taxes" thing? How could a successful and well recognized businessman get away with not paying taxes?

So like GE?

Claiming a giant loss that exempts him for years. Running a corrupt scam charity that claims to donate to get tax credit without actually doing so. Shuffling money between his various companies and shell companies. Hiding money in overseas tax haven. Shady overseas real estate deals... Any number of ways.

america is run by billionaire globalist elites like trump

>Trump had Jew Lawyers do his taxes
He is safe

He’s been audited countless times, it’s very unlikely that the IRS could have missed blatant tax fraud

The IRS would have fisted Trump anally if he did anything illegal. There is literally nothing to the "Trump's tax returns" meme.

Ah, so just like what the Clintons did but with a business in front of it.

He's currently in a court case about charity fraud. Up until yesterday he had all of congress. If there was dirt on him, do you honestly think they were going to let it get out and have him get taken down? In the past two years reporters have unearthed so REALLY bizarre real estate deals he's been involved in. Of course, Jow Forums never discusses these topics.

He talked shit on Obama for years while the IRS was weaoinized against conservative. Do you really think he didn't do taxes?

Yeah, pretty much.

It’s a retarded meme that doesn’t make sense

For some reason NPC’s on the left think trumps legal tax returns will have some obvious example of illegal activity as if a criminal puts “criminally earned income” on their statement.

It’s really just a ploy so the democrats can play class struggle “look he is so rich and he took 500 million in tax deductions” because they know their baseball is to dumb to understand taxes (as most pay 0)

They were good buddies for years.

Sometimes when you're at that level of wealth, a failed business venture can still aid you greatly. You can claim the losses on your taxes. It's not illegal and is a pretty common practice, especially in the real estate world.

Pretty sure if there was dirt Paul Ryan or John McCain would have used it to do the “not our values” schtick in about 5 seconds. Lot of Republicans hated and still hate Trump.

Likely not. But I think it will show that he's told some big lies about his wealth and some overseas business entanglements that are potentially conflicts of interest. The Maryland court case against him touches on some of those conflicts a bit.

True, but not as much as they loved GOP power.

sure didn't show it by not doing fuck all for two years

Yawn kys

Tax forms are private info nobody should be forced to reveal them for political bullshit

They got to grandstand and live out their super patriot fantasies.

But it's okay that our financial information should be given out for everything, including applying for jobs. If it is acceptable for us, it should be acceptable for the people we send to represent us. They do work for us, not the other way around.

lol so if you campaign on your wealth and then someone asks you to prove it you think you shouldnt be forced to reveal it?

buddy we have freedom of press, people will fact check everything you say publicly because its their fucking duty

>Any number of ways.
He is audited by the IRS every year due to the complexity of his taxes. IF there was an issue with him breaking the law, they would have already had him fined or incarcerated. Meanwhile degenerates like Willie Nelson get btfo for bullshitting. If he did anything illegal, they would have nailed smashed his dick years ago.

He pays taxes, its just that he uses every single loophole available to pay as little as possible.

Don't fall for Dem propaganda claiming he commits tax evasion. Everything is legal.

>this
Basically he pays a lot of money to really smart people so that he uses every legal loophole possible

He doesnt do things that are illegal but he probably has tons of money in offshore accounts like all rich people do which looks and sounds illegal but isnt. unethical, yes. illegal, no.

If you read further down the thread, you'll see that I further elaborate on my point.

not that simple to explain when he constantly deals with russian nationals and no american bank will lend him any money

>muh russia

i didnt even make any implication about russians and trump, just that he most likely is helping some foreigners launder shit tons of cash in american real estate and they happen to be russian

And the Saudis. And all of his many outstanding debtors, including that mysterious Deutsche Bank loan when he was supposedly flush with capital.

Trump doesn't pay any taxes.
He uses legal loopholes and tax laws to write off most of many of his expenses so that he doesn't have to pay much tax.

That's about it. He does it legally, like the rest of the rich people. That's why these loopholes exist.

They don't know what they're talking about. Rachel Maddow did an expose and found he pays more taxes than Obama and Bernie combined.

This level of deflection. Trump is supposedly worth many times that of Obama and Sanders combined. Of course he would end up having to pay more. And maybe the one year where he actually paid a decent amount is the reason that particular year happened to be the one that got "leaked".

I know you're absolutely seething right now but you need to put down the mouth and keyboard and go get some water before your faggot meter explodes and you get mercury all over the carpet.

its call maximizing you deductions

it minimizes the taxes you have to pay an some times you dont pay any

>implying REALLY bizarre real estate deals are illegal
user, as long as he isn't breaking the law, no one cares. Not the MSM, not Jow Forums and I'm pretty sure not you.

This is a scary topic that I don't know how to respond to. Quick, deflect! Ad hominem! REEEEEEE!

GE's net profits were so far in the red the previous year(in the US market), that they could write off their entire tax obligation. This isn't GE just finding some magic loophole that only really rich people know about.

I really don't. But if a lowly mall security guard is expected to provide this kind of information when applying for a job, I think it is reasonable to expect the most powerful person in the world to as well.

Fair enough, but even though he is the President, he still has rights to privacy.

This is actually similar to what Trump with Deutsche Bank.

>That led to Trump suing a group of lenders led by Deutsche Bank for $3 billion, rather than repay part of the loan when its due date came. Trump used what was an unusual defense, known as "force majeure," which allows for an extension to pay back a loan under extraordinary circumstances. Trump claimed the financial crisis was the equivalent of a "once-in-a-century credit tsunami" and similar to an earthquake."

they just mean he uses deductions and lopholes which are 100% legal... If he had unlawfully avoided paying Taxes it would be public knowledge long ago. They are fake news lying scumbags and if you don't realize that by now you need to put down the fucking bong and take a cold shower.

Shell companies, offshore accounts, money laundering thru rebates on real estate.

no one, rich pays their taxes, they hire lawyers and accountatnts. Bush paid like 4% of his income in taxes. that is the entire point of the government to make it impossible for anyone poor to get ahead. if they hire good lawyers and accountants it is basically impossible to find them guilty of anything because the lawyers and accountants decide what the law is and who is guilty . so if you pay one of them you are paying them all

Hopefully, the Democrat controlled House with their rats behind the scenes will be able to "acquire" Trump's taxes and expose whatever it is they believe is there to be found.

I like how the left likes to jump back and forth between taxes and Russian hacking. Same shit, different assholes

It’s tax minimisation is clever when the good guys do it, tax avoidance and evil when someone you don’t like does it. If he broke tax law in the last 40 years the IRS would be all over his ass, he wants to hide his returns it from the press because it’s embarassing to his “Everyman” image of it appears he has effectively paid zero income tax through legal means but he can’t hide it from authorities, if there were irregularities he would be in shit and theyd delight in ruining him, there aren’t so all you have is the mentally ill thinking this rises to the level of a vast conspiracy when in fact it’s just business as usual.

dems: we got you now blumpf! give us your tax returns
Trump: oh what is that a subpoena?
Trump: here you go call my lawyer, dial 1-800-EAT-SHIT
dems: Impeach! Orange Man Inmpeach!

It's just something liberals say to demonize rich people. Any less than 100 percent is "not paying your fair share" in their eyes.

>It's just something liberals say to demonize rich people. Any less than 100 percent is "not paying your fair share" in their eyes.
but they would never say jack shit about the clintons who are as crooked as they come and push the law farther than anyone
