A lot surprisingly. The last three Hunger Games films were made in Georgia. So were a lot of the more recent Marvel films.

Whether any of them are good films is up to you but they all performed extremely well at the box office and considering how much cheaper literally everything cost in Georgia compared to California said films made even more money.

It's not so much low taxes, it is the tax incentives. Many states offer a rebate or credit to film production in the state. Georgia has one of the most generous in the nation. But the governor elect should really re consider because it's the same shit as every other state that has had film tax credits or rebates ; hollywood comes in and plunders the state until someone wises up or quits taking bribes. More cash flows out of the state then into it, defeating the purpose of the incentive.
