>but seeing them as the "lesser Germans" the Prussian-Austrian Dualism wasnt based on who is more german or who is less - it was soley an power-politics Question that had to be solved to unify Germany. Friedrich started it by making Prussia to the 5th European Super-Power and blocking Austria to Unify Germany. - or rather "Großösterreich" by themselfes, so Prussia wouldnt be isolated or even put under the rule of Austria within this type of Germany.
Prussia therefore wanted nothing less than being on the same (politicial) Height as Austria within this new German Empire - which Austria refused. both discussed and argued alot, but also allied to beat the Danish and some other minor wars or Diplomatic Crisis. during this Time, they didnt hated each other, but were far away from Bruderliebe aswell. Bismarck finally resolved the Großdeutsche -/- Kleindeutsche struggle by (kinda) backstabbing Austria after the Prussian-Danish war. after Bavaria and the rest joined and formed the German Empire with Prussia on top, Austria accepted the defeat of this century long fight for middle-european power position - and aimed for Hungary and the balkans instead. The Zweibund from 1879 settled this Conflict once and for all - therefore laying the foundation of German-Austrian-(Hungarian) collaboration and Friendship until 1918. since then The Austrians as single Power of Middl europe wasnt existing anymore (due to the Hungarians now being part of it) and Ironically Prussia ceased to exist as a State too.
>Refreshing naa, thats what 90% of the books say, atleast those that are written before 1970. just triggerd my Austism a bit that he assumed Prussians and Austrians actually hated each other - but it was just good old 1800 fashioned banter and alot of dead people
To me the Prussians have always been Baltic savages anyway (and I don't say that is a bad thing per se)

Bavarians are only true Germans anyway, all the rest are slavs, blats and kelts ;)
kek, I always saw them as a mix of Northern Germanic Tribes with the kind of Poles that can build a House within 2 Hours due to their Autistic drive for Handwerk and wörk - therefore becoming the Power-Hungry, extreme efficent and cynic but Intelligent Prussians we all know them nowadays. >(and I don't say that is a bad thing per se) whats your view on Bismarck? was he an example for the Majority or the clear exception?
Natural born Krautists (same with Bismarck btw), an auspicious convergence of the genepool. Give such a population the chance to run the feedback of their inherent nature with a fitting culture and you're gonna see some serious shit! ;)
It would be about time! I see the Prussian mentality (from my point of view) more structured, more 'clockwork' ... efficient and cold. It has to play to these strengths. Without struggle such a system tends to calcify, it needs an outside focus that forces the rigid machinery to constantly adapt. Then it thrives.

It's not very good, user, drink some water instead!

>convergence hehe see what you did there > the chance to run the feedback of their inherent nature with a fitting culture guess we all already saw some serious shit without them having this benefit :D hilarious about Bismarck was his slow but very certain gain and rise to power, and how differently he handled foreign- and Inner policy (being so popular and reputable as an Diplomatic in Europe but called "Der Eiserne Kanzler" within his own State) truly an absolute Unit

The important framework are the "Prussian Virtues." Followed through, they remove a lot of inefficiencies by design. The outside focus is something we should define more precise. I'd call it goal-oriented instead where those goals are "outside" in the meaning of an external enemy or going beyond the status quo (improvement).
