Gold has been valuable to societies all over the earth for 1000s of years. This reason alone makes gold valuable - because it has 1000s of years of reliability. There were no iPhones or tech in medieval times yet gold was valuable. As long as the aristocracy values gold - its valuable.
Money HAS TO BE:
>Durable
>Transferable
>Divisible
>Intrinsically valuable
>Scarce
>Recognisable
>Fungible
time and time again people try to replace real money with something else and it fails every time, and what are those people forced to revert back to? GOLD
Gold is the ONLY substance (along with silver) that has ALL the properties needed and meets all the requirements to be defined as money.
It is these properties that gove gold INTRINSIC value.

No, I want to be able to store my wealth in a simple memorable password to avoid confiscation.
I don't know that much about it, but I've heard enough horror stories about trying to cash out, frozen assets, or currencies dying overnight to stay away from it since it just seems like glorified coin flip gambling.
Like how do you even cash out of a crypto currency for real money? Who covers the exchange? Wouldn't it be frozen and possibly seized for fraud attempts automatically?
It just seems like, inevitably, faith in it will plummet as nothing really protects it.
>avoid confiscation
Exactly.
They want to confiscate your gold because its VALUABLE. They dont want your faggy password to your meme coins
Exactly. Its obviously a scam
>silver
wew lad
If I'm stupid enough to let them know, sure! But how are you going to pass with your gold bars? They are very shiny and it would be so terrible if someone stole them in the way...
Its not an investment - its purpose is to preserve wealth.
Its real money
You can cash out to some banks at certain amounts. However taxes are still a thing
and yes they can still close your accounts etc.
looks like the bitcoin chart except it doesnt go to 20,000
You can cash out selling direct to a buyer.. in another country if you need or through OTC.
>how are you going to pass with your gold bars
Im not going to tell them either
>he doesn't have 2 dogecoins
pathetic
no - no random spikes for no reason and 1000s of years of history - which is nice
Nice quads.. but paper gold is worth the paper itself: nothing! Do not meme, the entire thing is very well tamed and Bitcoin is the only wild horse around.
A chicken still cost about 1/10 oz of silver since ancient time
I mean gold and silver bullion. Not paper gold
Fuking kek.
Rape just took on a whole new meaning ith this post
Satoshi Nakamoto is a contraction Samsung, Toshiba, Naka Industries and Motorola.
yes, it is a scam because it's supposed to replace the already non-sovereign money supply (central banking) with a meme money that has already been bought up by the creators.
BTC has been made scarce by those who created it and it's a long con.
Plus, decryption (mining) takes more energy each year and generates less reward per successful block, as intended.
>it is a scam because it's supposed to replace the already non-sovereign money supply (central banking)
i was thinking:
if fiat is a scam, for the reasons above, and btc is bought with fiat, wouldnt that make btc a scam also?
Satoshi Nakamoto is glow in the dark
Nakamoto = Central
Satoshi = Intelligence
NSA made a paper about cryptocurrency in 90s, groups.csail.mit.edu
I'm not surprised if cryptocurrency is an effort by (((them))) to make libertarians sell their golds
>t. alex jones
well, that depends: if i put a sell option on a bitcoin that i own, what's the guarantee it can be exchanged for cash? how many idiots out there willing to buy? how many companies accept it?
>>Intrinsically valuable
Nothing is intrinsically valuable. Everything has value because we've decided it has value, and always in relation to some reason.
But this was my one chance to support a family...
OP the entire Credit Card Fraud system is funded by Bitcoin, millions of dollars worth of transactions a day on the dark web. It's legit, but mostly for criminals. That does not make it any less legit though.
>because it has 1000s of years of reliabilit
not just that, relatively difficult to make fake gold, compared to wood currency, can't be just made up on a computer screen.
>I'm not surprised if cryptocurrency is an effort by (((them)))
no its likely its the chinese and russians, crypto is a wealth transfer from the west to the east, also it is likely it was created by the cia/nsa to pay for human trafficking but the thing got out of hand
central banking was made to remove the sovereign control of money within a nation, BTC was created to not only remove all money creation from a nation it's also there push the implantation chip.
checked
like i said, the name is a contraction of those companies who benefited from the silicon production of ASIC and FPGA production.
The first crypto whitepaper came from a man named David Chaum with eCash back in 1985 then NSA got a hold of it and added the newest cryptography (at that time was SHA256) to the whitepaper but it wasn't released until a decade later when Vanguard investment group (Rothschild) had purchased all the shares it could in companies that would benefit from hardware sales
how much money did you lose?
>Scam
>People using it for Fraud and other crimes as untraceable currency, later converted to anything they want

Bitcoin is legit. Legit for criminal use mainly.
>current year
>being a nocoiner
never gonna make it
>untraceable
is that why users have to have a wallet that's connected to the blockchain and along with it an IP that's addressed to it?
wew untraceable

stone swords were also valuable until they werent
If you doubt me, try out the following for any statement:
X has value because of Y.
There is always a Y. And there is no universal Y that MUST be true for all humans. Our emotional spectrum is too variable and irrational for any value statement to be universally true for every member of our species. Only God is absolute. Everything else is relative.
What about a little love for REQ mates?

created by cia SHILLS
it means one thing: huge bitcoin value DIP coming
buys crypto, buys marijuana seeds with it with a 40% discount and bonus seeds added.
It has a purpose
>meme flag doesnt understand economics
Oh boy that's rich. An ounce of gold today buy you more than back then. That is the point
at least with gold or any other physical currency you can hold it and trade it if there is no power.
try that with crypto when the lights are off, or if there is no cell/internet service.
what a joke
its not its great for getting government out of your life including all transactions, you should be able to buy whatever you want when u want
except I cant buy anything I want because nobody wants bitcoin
gold exists in infinite ammounts across the universe and even on our planet theres still millions of tons under the sea yet to be discovered
>across the universe
kek. how do you propose we get it?
See where gold is in periodic table of elements
the idea of space mining is way less far fetched than the walking dead tier apocalyptic prediction you laid out
there will come a day when golds circulating supply increases infinitely and when that happens your gold will instantly lose any value it once had
the total supply of btc can never be exceded. that is why it is the optimal store of value
>An ounce of gold today buy you more than back then
How does that even contradict my post?
>ha ha if this unlikely scenario occurs then you're fucked xD
Oh well fuck me then
and thats another thing. they can already replicate gold in a lab in very small amounts its just not profitable yet. one day gold will be seen for what it really is a shiny worthless rock
>scam for idiots
What's the scam for intellectuals?
>the idea of space mining is way less far fetched than the walking dead tier apocalyptic prediction you laid out
Umm one I didnt say that but two societal collapse is much more likely to happen than asteroid mining. If you knew anything about science youd know that.
>
the total supply of btc can never be exceded. that is why it is the optimal store of value
Until someone creates another one or forks it and then theres more. Do you think governments or rich people cant get their hands on hash power? lol
>pic
Just think, we have the second amendment and didn't do shit when the president literally stole all of our gold by executive order.
>How does that even contradict my post?
user...I...
gold is a store of value......
>Until someone creates another one or forks it and then theres more.
the total supply of btc cannot be altered. people can fork it ie create new coins because its open source but bitcoin itself will never exceed total supply
what about the fact that they can already create gold in a lab? is that far fetched. face it kid your shiny rocks are going to be obsolete by the end of the century
bitcoin is the white mans store of value
>an exact copy of btc that has the EXACT same code and hash power behind is not BTC and therefore BTC is still valuable
>however gold will be worthless because it can be created in a lab. BTC being copy pasted means nothing.
Oh man the mental gymnastics. What price did you buy at?
communism
If neutron bombardment is cheap enough, we are in star trek socialist utopia. Nobody has to worry about food and energy. Meaning money in all forms including cryptocurrencies are useless.
While precious metals become ordinary industrial metals
that would be a good argument if there were use cases for gold that were unique to gold. but there arent, its a worthless metal
the problem your laying out is the exact problem gold has. its value comes from its exclusivity nothing else.
i can hold gold, use it in circuitry, make crappy jewelry out of it, coat shit with it and it takes effort to extract it.
BTC, i can pretend it's worth something, wait 15 minutes to confirm a transaction, pay more for my electricity because people are mining at home hoping to get that one block payout.
yeah.
No.
you can shield yourself from cosmic radiation using gold, can't say the same for any crypto
You have to zoom out. See you at 110k
>that would be a good argument if there were use cases for gold that were unique to gold
Uh no. Formula One uses gold as heat shielding on their cars. That's just one of MANY examples. You know nothing of gold and therefore nothing about what makes something valuable. It's no surprise you're shilling crypto lmao
peter schiff tier arguments
>if im stuck on a deserted island i can bend my gold into a bowl and use it to collect water
walk into a store right now with your caveman store of value snap off a piece and try and buy something now you bronze age faggot
holy fuck that is laughable TA. The fact that it disregards 6 years of BTCs history is amazing. The absolute state of cryptotards
That was the point of the meme.
>cherrypicking cases where gold is useless
and cryptocurrency is equally useless too
I see. Unfortunately that's considered great TA in crypto
the world wouldnt end if gold didnt exist peter schiff. gold is a useless metal that has value only because of its limited supply
its limited supply is also not limited for a multitude of reasons. thus it has no value. we live in a universe that likely has an infinite amount of gold. in which gold can already be replicated by man and we have a sea floor with millions of tons of gold waiting to be collected.
take your bronze age store of value bend into a little bowl and drink water out of it like your idol peter schiff. thats only the only use case a poverty boom like you will ever have for it
oddly enough this is my ta, im waiting for rentry at 6190 for quick scalp profit target at 6400-- i only trade whenever it hits below 6200
>give him an example of use case
>hurr durr gold has no use case
Oh no its retarded! Thank you for buying my bags in May. Keep holding to the bottom.
>its limited supply is also not limited for a multitude of reasons. thus it has no value. we live in a universe that likely has an infinite amount of gold. in which gold can already be replicated by man and we have a sea floor with millions of tons of gold waiting to be collected.
CTRL C CTRL V
LOL
>Doesn't understand physical & chemical properties of gold
No wonder you lost to emus.
BTW, most "goldbugs" & "silverbugs" do not go all in precious metals but have well diversified portfolio.
Yeah I think it's a solid strategy for a while. Ofc I dont trade anymore but scalpers win in markets like this
I remember back in 2013 i said the same things op said about crypto currency then in 2015 i decided to just buy some and see
I now have enough money to never work again for the rest of my life. i can make $1000 a day just watching charts and shorting shitcoins at the right moment
i have multiple propertys at the age of 25. while you retards collect bronze age stores of value that will only go down with the advancment of technology
Im also ashkenazi jew and i guarantee you are all white which makes it even funnier
nothing is actually valuable unless people say it is.
dare i say tulip stock market crash anyone?
Gold is good
Silver is good
So is crypto.
Crypto will be backed by its value to the banks and corporations and its superiority to fiat.
>bitcoin is white mans store of value kid
>I'm ashkenazi Jewish
LMAO crypto kid so assblasted he started making shit up.
>i can use it for this irrelevant thing
>but its not necessary and other metals can do the same thing its just a luxury for professionals use because they have the money
wow that some metal you have there
This guy gets it
yes bubbles exist. Crypto was another one
