Worst state in the continental US and maybe only Hawaii is worse It used to be a good state in the 1950s, but the decline started in San Francisco in the 1960s and spread through the rest of the state like a malignant tumor. I moved from the coast to a flyover state recently and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I just moved to San Francisco for a job opportunity and I’m disgusted. Why is the homeless problem so bad here? The streets look like they’re out of a third world country. I don’t see anyone out past 9pm because they feel unsafe. How do we fix this? Did the people vote for something that caused this?

Moved out of the shithole the bay area was becoming to another state. Recently came back to visit family and their neighborhoods are now filled with poos doing low level tech jobs. I saw very few whites. Everyone that was white looked depressed as fuck.

Oak Park user here. when I bounced out last night, the hill behind my house was completely engulfed and it burned right to my backyard. somehow my house survived for now but part of the town is still on fire. It use to be a place that radical Bay Area politics were laughed at. You could own a home and raise your family. It's a beautiful state with a lot to see and do. But this last 15 years have ruined it. I miss my home. Once the left ruins it completely I hope to go back and help change it.

Very few homeless here are 'down and out'. They're all on drugs or crazy. Only thing I can think of is to re-open the asylums, but nobody else seems to want to do that.
