What I need to add here is that I think that the poos belong to one of the tribes too, mainly due to their european features. But the Jewish priests at the time, the Pharisees, they had a monopoly on the Jewish faith and made heaps of profit from things being donated and animals being slaughtered in order to rid people of their sins.
So when Jesus comes along telling people the Will of God, that he can forgive them of their sins, it threatens the power that the priests have over the people. What happens next is something that has been repeated numerous times since then. An assassination. Sure it might have been approved and carried out by the rulers as an execution, but what do you call the execution of a man who committed no crime? All he did was threaten a stranglehold of power.
And like I said, it keeps happening. Just in the US, you have Andrew Jackson, Lincoln, Kennedy, Nixon and now Trump.
