In case some of you don't live in ghetto hell-holes, allow me to explain. This is a check cashing business. The give you cash for your cheques, without a bank account, or even a "real" ID. (They ask for ID, but if you look fucked up enough, they assume you're legit) but, you only get 70% to maybe 80% at best. Maybe not even that high.

The problem ultimately rests in certain learned personality traits that ultimately determine if you will ever exercise better money control and better control over your life and lifes circumstances.
See, the family unit is actually very important. If you look at the core of the western civilizations, you see mythologies which ultimately seek to reinforce and enhance attributes of the family unit and the society next.

In Judaism and christianity, the entirety of Leviticus is dedicated to ritual, what to eat, what not to eat, behaviors, and even sexual acts. These served in the bible and Torah to give the tribe of Israel a foundation from which to build a society. Everything of importance to keeping a society intact short of money management is in there.

But why not money management? Well the fact is that the money management itself comes from the self discipline that arises after mastering the behavioral techniques and traditions.

Now imagine for a moment that you have an entire society in which these foundations don't exist. Then imagine that that society was moved to one that did, but that the non grounded society never learned to adapt and assimilate these beliefs and customs.

Now advance to the modern era, where society then gives tacit permission for the family unit to be weakened. For those who grew up in a society where those lessons and morality stories serve as the basis, this lesson is learned, assimilated, and becomes second nature.

In the society pushed into western society, it is not. Thus, the behavioral traits, already weakly taught, do not get passed on. Leading to certain traits not being taught and thus bad management coming afterwards. One feeds the other, and if the foundation is not there, one cannot expect the other to follow.
This is what we are seeing. In the simplest form possible, we are seeing what happens when one group of people is not taught the foundation of self discipline and control. What, then, do we expect but this?

We often wonder "Why don't black people understand how to use money" but what we never ask ourselves is; Why is it that after blacks were encouraged in the mid 1900's to not form strong, coherent, family units, did a sudden gap of life lessons and moral foundations appear.

Up until the 1950's, blacks did at the very least have a strong family unit. Granted there were problems, but outgroup pressures ultimately allowed for a semi coherent family unit to coalesce and keep them together. Mobility within the black community did allow for the creation of wealth and privilege. It was, until the 1960's, looking as though blacks were able to overcome their own history and stand on equal economic footing with the white man.

That is, until the civil rights movement happened. For all of its supposed good, the lesson began to creep into black America that it was permissible to have free and open sex, that responsibility for a family unit was not required, and that the bond of the identity was far more important than the bond of the family. When these Hippy (Communist actually) beliefs began to permeate the black community, the collapse was sudden and total. Gone were the strong family units. Mothers were left to raise children and the usual genetic aberrations which had been kept in check with strong foundations in morality began to permeate the community. As these events cumulated in the prison populace for black men shooting up, the next generation began being born entirely without a father figure within the household.

Naturally, though, a man, regardless of his skin tone, seeks a tribe. A place of acceptance and commonality. This is mans natural instinct and it has allowed him to build nations where possible.
However, with no firm foundation of morality, the impetuous for remaining a part of the tribe is to display some method of status or similarity.

You begin to see certain behaviors that creep up almost spontaneously.
For one, the perpetuation of status over community health allows for the permeation and dominance of petty materialism. Materialism with no check of family and morality is simply that.

In Africa itself, you see this more often. Entire tribes, with no unifying morality brought about by a common mythos fails to proceed beyond a sort of hollow materialism. In tribe out tribe dynamics do not get reinforced positively because there is no lesson on how to do so.

It is said that mythology arises entirely from a human desire to create a sense of commonality, and to understand themselves within the scope of the known, the unknown, and mans ability to reside both within the field of the eternal and the temporal at the same time.

Yet, when a tribe fails to form a mythological basis, the resulting effects are chaotic and ultimately doomed to failure.

We see this often enough, and with startling regularity in todays black community.

Why don't they understand money? Because of faulty morality. Can it be fixed? Yes. But to do so at this stage requires some subversion of their current system and the institution of a new generation based entirely on morality and the positive learned characteristics that make one able to manage wealth.
