Is it just me or my now much more adult age, or is the world starting to get more extremist on "both" the "right"/"alt-right" and "left" side of the political spectrum?
I feel were about to have a series of goddamn civil wars all over the world lead between racist white nationalists and anti-white pro affirmative action trannies in hijabs (even though hijabs represent conservative beliefs that, like Catholicism, are very puritan).
I am very worried for the possibly near future.

I agree yet disagree. Political extremism is definitely on the rise on both sides of the spectrum and it isn't about race, it's about money. Major players on opposite ends are upping the ante, throwing down more chips on the table in hopes of earning more. The media is pandering to their audiences causing a greater divide in fear of losing viewers (finding) if they opt for centrist views. Race realization and white shaming are tools of opposite parties but ironically equally racist on both ends. Still, the upcoming storm isn't going to be centered around race, it'll be about class. The widening class separation will soon come to a boiling point thanks to political extremism and will be moment our country will cease to exist.

What I've been concerned about is the death of intellectualism in this country.
There used to be a whole subset of us who were intelligent, could embrace the truth no matter which side it came from, and would only be swayed by facts. After 2000 these people seemed to decrease rapidly, a nosedive in 2001 and 2008, then you could only find them on websites that *once* condoned free speech, like Jow Forums.
Even for as shit infested this site has always been there's been a high amount of intelligent individuals unlike any other site, ones that don't jerk themselves off either, and virtually no pseuds, because everyone gets called out on their bullshit here. However after late 2016 this group seems to have all but disappeared and I'm troubled. There's nobody left to have rational debate, not here not anywhere on the internet. Nobody willing to look at both sides of the coin, political or not.
Most websites are filled with libtards, which is why youtube was so kiked on getting people to vote, and the other sites are either israel-worshiping conservacucks or obese non-white neonazis.

It's difficult to be rational in the post information age. The age of information abundance. You'll find studies and statistics that will contradict one another and even themselves so a need to stand by logic an be principal has become more important than facts alone. I took a course on intelligence analysis. I was able to draw parallels to how information is consumed by the wider public. In brief, the public used to be customers of intelligence and media/information sources were the analysts. They processed the raw information and disseminated it. This was done with exaggerated and mistaken faith of impartiality in these sources.
Today however to borrow that saying "We are all Chindits (Guerilla fighters) now" - "We're all Analysts, now". The modern consumer has to be his or her own analyst, they cannot rely on others to process and refine the intelligence. This means you have to measure the veracity of a source, and most people are not willing to do this beyond even the most basic levels:
"Is this corroborated by another source"
"Is the source reliable" (I.E. not "Anonymous sources say...")
"Is this information something they could have feasibly come across" (Is it feasible that this no name reporter has access to a high quality source within an administration?)
"Is this organization fucking biased?" Here is a critical point of failure. The liberal is often obsessed with claiming falsely that they are moderate, they are normal and mainstream. This is the rationale behind claiming Beto is somehow moderate. Because the alternative is they are -biased-, they aren't perfect, they are guilty. So they refuse to believe that something like Vox or The Atlantic can be biased despite blatant evidence to the contrary.
It doesn't mean a biased source can't bear fruit. It does mean you can't accept what they say about a particularly charged topic as gospel.
