Patriotism is dedication to the nation, Nationalism is this, but also a dedication what what the nation actually is: So a dedication to the people, the culture, religion, ethnicity, race; aka: the things that separate the nation from any other nation.
The problem with globalists is they try to spin the belief that the only thing which makes nations different is their geological locations, which simply isn't true. France is never going to be comparable to Germany just as Germany is never going to be comparable to France, because they have a different language, culture, religion (Protestants and catholics), and history which is not shared.

This doesn't even make sense. Patriot comes from Πατέρα>Πατρίδα meaning fatherland. You are born from your father. Nation comes from Natalus/born born of the land.
Both of those words imply a people with shared culture inhabiting a land. A people can be connected and shaped by their land but a people are not their land. A people are there shared history and myth. You can fill France with blacks but they are not French
