Look I'm currently battling with a heavy porn and sex addiction. It's not a good place to be in, once you go down into that hole it's hard to come out of it. I lived in a lot of denial and ultimately my behavior ruined my relationship, pushed away friends, and pushed away family.
The problem was for me it was slow build up. It wasn't a problem until it slowly started eating me away. Bit by bit I had to realize I was abusing sex and letting myself be abused. There's a lot of issues with porn, and how quickly addicting it could get.
I started young too. I used it as a means to escape sadly. Speaking with experience porn has gotten way more toxic over the years trust me I know. It has grown like a virus, and those who get addicted are hooked. I'm trying real hard to get out of my addiction because it's not healthy thinking about sex and putting on it a pedestal. Sure it's okay to think about women and fantasize, but the fantasies can get a lot worse. Luckily, I'm educating myself and have entered a 12-step program. It's not an easy to do nor is it easy to admit.
