Also, if you ever are in contact with 911 on your phone, and a situation is changing/stable, TELL THE DISPATCH and make sure they they relay the information to the officers, that way there is a reduced chance they will assume the situation is ongoing.

If you're at the scene of a crime, and the cops show up, comply, because they have to assume everyone there is a criminal until they sort it out. And the courts will back them.

I agree with you and the others who have said there is many reasons to doubt that the officers gave him fair warning to drop the weapon, and they made up the story afterwards to cover it up as a justified homicide.

Dropping your gun during a shoot out (or in the chaos afterward) is something no one should be expected to do. Its not a reasonable order coming from anyone. The cops should not assume that everyone is a criminal at the scene, because thats an incredibly stupid and obtuse strategy, which leads to the deaths of innocent people like this case. You are right that the courts back it up. That doesn't make it right.
