If lefist policies are bad for economic growth, how come states like California or New York are so democrat while at the same time being amongst the richest states in the US?
Did these states become left leaning after becoming rich for some reason? What's the deal?

Also New York and California are simply just have big cities, they both gained their wealth during the era of Laissez Faire capitalism.
