Three things are happening. The prices have spiked because of demand, but this isn't a demand from first-time buyers intended to live in the property. People are trying to get rich by flipping homes and rolling the money over and over again. Now the cities are trying to crackdown on this by taxing uninhabited properties. Coalitions and big globalist businesses end up snapping up the land and turning them into townhouses/living space which is then either flipped to the government or leased out in contracts with them to house immigrants. Eventually they can either buy out or chase out the dwindling numbers of private home owners to create their rental communist hellscape.

Voting for Max is the accelerationist move. It polarizes the right and the left toward their extremes simultaneously. If we get a right wing government out of it, they will be more radical because of all the leftist screeching. If we wind up with a split vote and a Liberal government, they will go harder left faster, radicalizing more people to the right.

I wanted Mad Max as the leader of Conservatives. Max defecting makes Max look like a sore loser, and Scheer look like a weak leader for not convincing him to stay. I don't like the idea of the People's Party, I feel like it will attract the "hot take" crowd, and alienate the moderate crowd. Also I am not convinced about Maxime's stances on supply management, net neutrality, and health care.

Andrew Scheer has zero personality outside of being a walking, talking attack-ad against Stephen Harper. I am not terribly enthused about voting for Scheer either.
