who is graham hancock?

Crypto historian challenging the status quo of the generally accepted ancient world.

Isn't that right around when agriculture became prominent?

...

...

I guess we niw know what killed the Mammoths as well as half the other animals on earth 12800 year's ago.

No Agriculture finding date back sligtly after the flood, which was 5700 bc

>Bigger than Paris
Follow-up question: how big is Paris?

No one ever said he was wrong. Scientists and archeologists work on what is evidenced, and no civilizational evidence exists before ~10,000BC. That's all it says -- which is not the same thing as the assertion that there were no civilizations before 10,000BC. People who say there were without evidence (like Graham Hancock) are brainlets and people who say there weren't because there's no evidence are also brainlets. These are called hypotheses. They're not the same thing as actuality. What the fuck are people even learning in school these days?

Not as big as you're mom lmalmo

>Imalmo
My name's no Imalmo. So France is a tiny city. Weak.

no way man my history teacher said atlantis isnt real

>they believe happened between three million and 12,000 years ago.

Yawn. I'm going back to sleep.

Why is my capital being used as a scale to measure things crashing into earth ?

Pcq Paris c'est un trou.

Fun facts
>The oldest civilization ever found was about 12,000 years old
>This civilization was wiped out for unknown reasons
>Ice core samples reveal a massive increase in water levels (ie. "A great flood") about 12,000 ago
Guess we know what caused the great flood

>Guess we know what caused the great flood
your fat mom?

Nukes

hes a big counter-culture figure with lots of outlandish ideas, but his best known and most challenged by the mainstream (and ontinually proved by new evidence) idea is that human civilization is much older than the 12,000 years they teach in school, significantly older, having been wiped out in a massive cataclysm 12,000 years ago instead and having to start from near scratch

I tend to believe, no irony

If he is correct, why have we find no artifacts or evidence of civilization pre 10,000 bc?

>evidence
megalithic structures worldwide. try again?

Did you mean
>space nukes

Snukes.

a-user I...
So full of nogs that's it's only use now

>People who say there were without evidence (like Graham Hancock) are brainlets
Its not like he is talking out of his ass.

Gobekli tepi is about 12k years old and there are evidence for a rapid rise in sea water at that time, as well as impact proxies (and now a crater) and seeing as gobekli tepi is fairly advanced and seeing how most notable cities today or built near the ocean or major waterways and would be wiped of the map if a similar rise in sea levels happened today its reasonable to believe that any tracers of the civilisation that build GT (or any other) was wiped of the map.

GT was obviously not the first stone structure that these people built.

I mean, with all the shit that has been found over the last 100 years, how can you exclude the possibility that civilazition is older than it "actually is"?
History changes all the time with new findings, why not entertain the theory that what we have now could be wrong?
Seems like (((scientists))) don't want to do their job.

Because most of the cities back then were on the coasts (as they are today) and are currently underwater. Pic related, what we now call the continental shelf is actually the old pre-flood coastline.

He does bring up some stuff about the sphinx actually being older than thought because of the erosion patterns, maybe some other stuff too but I don't remember.

Attached: SeaLevel_LastIceAge.gif (900x450, 250K)

>why have we find no artifacts or evidence of civilization pre 10,000 bc?
Because we don't have gills and it was a very long time ago?

There are megalithic structures all world, its like human masonry when from god tier > shit tier > ok tier > decent tier > top tier > portland cement tier. Why? Same thing with ancient Egypt, all of the really impressive stuff is the oldest.

I believe that its because the oldest stuff was built by remnants of an old civilisation and then when everything went to shit people where busy trying to survive so the old way of doing things was forgotten and then we had to start again from scratch. These structures probably lasted for generations too so it wasn't necessary to teach your kids how to build it either.

Most of the ancient civilisations shit tier masonry that they started out with is below the ocean so that's why the technology leap doesn't make any sense.

>Seems like (((scientists))) don't want to do their job.
They have all built their career and reputation on something that tells a completely different story so they won't have any of it. The people with the biggest say in their field use their influence to shut people down.

What color pill is this and how do I start dosing?

Seems like a good post to reply with this. Modern iteration of humanity has been around for atleast 100k years, european whites that is, we were the ones building all this cool shit, from India, to Ancient Egypt, to Rome, we wuz

The powers that rule over us now obviously know this, why do you think Hitler Rothschild used the swastika as his symbol?

Attached: history.jpg (2040x2689, 2.47M)

It's the magalith pill. The further back in time you go, architecture gets bigger and more precise, which is incongruous to the theory that human technology has been advancing in a linear chronology.

we do, among them being the sphinx

Well unless you want to read there is a lot of videos about it but most of them are 50% old material from other videos that are also like that so you'll end up watching a lot of things multiple times if you search for it on the tube.

Just watch this, it has most of it. youtube.com/watch?v=0H5LCLljJho

>tribe of Dan
What?

lieutenant dan icecream

Wrong. Plenty of evidence of ancient civilization dating back before then. Peru, Egypt, Turkey, China, Indonesia, etc. The weathering on the Sphinx alone proves this theory.

Yep, tenure is for life. So we just have to wait for the old guys to die before new radical ideas are even considered.

I don’t think his ideas are that absurd do you honestly believe humans sat around for 230k years before civilizing? I doubt it, there was plenty of time for civilizations to rise and become fairly advanced 30, 60, 100 thousand years ago only to be whiped out, and over that much time there would be almost nothing left of them.

Obviously we are the most advanced yet but I’m sure civilizations have gotten to at least bronze or Iron Age many tens of thousands of years back

This shit's fucking fascinating. Wouldn't the flood have happened right around that time?

Anyone else wake up and felt like there was a huge shift today. Something changed. Something feels different.

there are speculations of flying machines and nukes from the times youre talking about, lurk more mutt

Yes indeedy my good man. I never had any doubts there was a flood. The stories of a some kinda great flood are all over the world. And the only thing it could have been was the glaciers melting away at one time. I also never believed for a second that humans caused that last mass extinction. That just sounds dumb.

if he says humans lived with dinosaurs I want to believe

Attached: wuerhos.jpg (337x500, 37K)

And now I read this news, huge meteor impact 12000 years ago. Worldwide stories of a flood. Stories of Atlantis. I had a dream a few days ago of a massive tsunami sweeping into highlands.

no

Its an autistic kabalist tree. I was wondering why is the tribe of dan there?
Whats the story?

Yup. There's also an ancient temple in Turkey that records a meteorite impact at the same time - Gobekli Tepe.

We are very clever but we aren't especially wise.

>wow with this new plastic material we can store food for longer, reducing the risk of food poising, reducing waste and making it cheaper for every one
>throws garbage in the ocean, destroying the food supply in the long run
>becomes infertile because of exposure to a mixture of new chemicals that doesn't exist in nature

Lets face it, the civilisation we have today won't last long in its current stage. But its not like we can go backwards, lets hope we unfuck ourselves before its to late.

Also civilisation are probably like empires and countries, they peak, everything gets to comfy and then they collapse because people just want to go watch a horse race, eat some good food and sleep with their wives. Not do or learn about the things that actually made their life comfy to begin with.

By god....
youtube.com/watch?v=iOk6HB609po

It's all true.

I would argue on a cyclical basis the “modern world” which I date starting basically with the dominance of Anglo-American culture around 1600 (with 1350-1600 being a sort of “dark age” after the midevil high) is coming to an end.

This phase of civilization really peaked in the early 1900’s.

Generally speaking we are still in the peak/golden age but the hedonism, culture sink and cracks in this cycle are glaring us in the face.

No matter where you look we are clearing well on our way to collapse weather that collapse will be the end of the Roman republic, or the en of the empire 500 years later is up for debate.

But yeah basically “civilizations” go on a 500ish year cycle this cycle being the one of nation states.

wjat the fuck kind of range is this
>The team said their next task would be to date the impact, which they believe happened between three million and 12,000 years ago.

more than that it holds power

i think we colonized this planet from spacea long time ago and we just been shittin it up and dyin and bouncing back

Ancient Aliens were from Nibiru. Nibiru is a Super Earth Planet with a nuclear fission core heating the planet and global tropical oceans. Surface temperatures on Nibiru are about the same as Earth. Nibiru is in 15000 year elongated orbit that passes between the orbits of Earth and Mars.

Nibiruians began visiting Earth again when they detected gamma-rays coming from Earth.

Alt historian who became a drug-addled hippie. For a much more scholarly take on the same subject I recommend Randall Carlson who is now co-authoring a book with Hancock.

Hancock focuses much more on ancient ruins and writings and Carlson focuses much more on the younger dryas event itself from a geological perspective.

But there have been findings where modern humans (as in us) were ritualistically buried along with tools and weapons, where these sites were dated to be 350k years old. That, in itself, is not exactly ground breaking... But what is is the type of tools and weapons found buried with them. They weren't made of simple knapped flint, they were tools crafted with fire. THAT alone blows the fuck out of the official timeline because these types of tools/weapons are what differentiate the paleolithic and neolithic ages (i.e. this is neolithic level tech) The official timeline for the neolithic age is between 70k and 8k bc depending on which source you are reading. 350k million years ago blows that entire theory out of the water.

But, that's not all, the fire forging of tools implies that these people were, at a minimum, starting to transition away from nomadic lifestyle and starting to build semi-permanent settlements.

And, also, think about how simple of a thought pattern rudimentary agriculture is.
>grug see many plant
>grug see some plant have good food
>grug see good food plant sometime hard to get to
>grug not know how make good food plant
>grug say move good food plant to easy spot

Kikes would imply that agriculture wouldnt have happened until someone figured out that seeds can be gathered and planted.. I posit the notion of moving plants would have came first and is so simple one would have to be a nigger to not figure it out. Another implication, of the kikes, is that without modern civilization to school us on how to think we would be unable to do so. Even without the combined knowledge of the ages being taught to children.. they would still have the same cognitive abilities the only thing they would lack is modern systems of measure and definitions..

Do you believe that had you been born in the woods and not gone to school you wouldn't have figured at least a couple things out on your own?

He's a writer, not a historian. His degree is in sociology.

It’s a long-form discussion about an in depth topic. Joe also shuts the fuck up because he is out of his depth.

everything is a cycle of cycles. Where civilizations, as you put it, go on a 500 year cycle, there are larger cycles which govern that 500 year cycle. It's all ebb and flow kinda shit, thermodynamics applied to society, where civilizations normally have a 500 year cycle of ebb and flow (or so) there would be a cycle above that were the "500 year cycle" has its own ebb and flow. This current bullshit has been showing cracks for a long while, but they are no longer mere cracks, there is a rifting occurring. For the sake of argument, lets, for a brief second, discuss Trump.. Let's say he actually did everything that he could and should to repair this faltering mess of a society. What would it accomplish? The divide is already far too great, there is no way out of this without serious amounts of bloodshed, which, even if that job was done 100% completely and satisfactorily, this society would have died and a new one would be born as a result.

But, back on track, these rifts that have opened, the cracks that have turned into chasms, They dont just signal the collapse of the US. Nor of just western civilization. It's going to amount to an entire reset. And, I do not believe it will be a prolonged decline. I believe that once a single crack, turned chasm, finally breaks there will be a near immediate plummet and all actions taken from there on out will amount to civilization desperately trying to claw at the walls to stop falling. But, even if one area manages to find a safe plateau to land on, the surrounding areas will attack and drag them down too. World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones, World War 3 is a Psychic War.

FUCK OFF IT'S MY METEOR

I don’t know the amount of wealth and power concentrated among the main western powers is so high that’s I just don’t see how the collapse won’t be prolonged even if major conflicts are on the horizon.

Rome basically had endless civil war and foreign invasion for 100 years and still survived as a culture even though it was structurally changed

>youtu.be/am1oAOoST1E

All it takes is one good crack and their wealth and power are meaningless. Imagine what would happen if all bank transfers were fucked if one autist managed to crack rsa.

Specifically the Vedic text which contain references to flying machines, their method of propulsion, weapons and battle tactics including descriptions of what sounds like people dying of fallout after a nuclear strike.

>there are larger cycles which govern that 500 year cycle.
You mean like the kaliyuga?

>Rulers will become unreasonable: they will levy taxes unfairly.
>Rulers will no longer see it as their duty to promote spirituality, or to protect their subjects: they will become a danger to the world.
>People will start migrating, seeking countries where wheat and barley form the staple food source.

>With regard to human relationships, Markandeya's discourse says:

>Avarice and wrath will be common. Humans will openly display animosity towards each other. Ignorance of dharma will occur.
>People will have thoughts of murder with no justification and will see nothing wrong in that.
>Lust will be viewed as socially acceptable and sexual intercourse will be seen as the central requirement of life.
>Sin will increase exponentially, while virtue will fade and cease to flourish.
>People will become addicted to intoxicating drinks and drugs.
>Gurus will no longer be respected and their students will attempt to injure them. Their teachings will be insulted, and followers of Kama will wrest control of the mind from all human beings.
>Women will no longer get married.
>Traditional castes will disappear and everyone will belong to a single social class.
>Brahmins will not be learned or honored, Kshatriyas will not be brave, Vaishyas will not be just in their dealings, and the varna system will be abolished.

Pretty good for something that was written over a thousand years ago.

The Younger Dryas is not in dispute. The main issue here is that this may show it wasn't a slow cycle, but rather a rapid event that took out Atlantis.

Attached: usemyprinter.jpg (704x1024, 78K)

>"The crater is exceptionally well-preserved and that is surprising, because glacier ice is an incredibly efficient erosive agent that would have quickly removed traces of the impact.
>"The next step in the investigation will be to confidently date the impact.

These are the comfiest threads on Jow Forums. Am I gullible if I eagerly believe everything I read? Or just read to many fantasy books as a kid and want more mystery in this dull lusterless world?

I always tell people with this concern that the mainstream story is so riddled with holes that I don't care what they believe -- aliens is more credible than this linear progression bullshit with farming invented in the fertile crescent a few years ago.

> few years
er, few thousand years*

It would change everything if it turns out it was 12k years ago.

Could you list some examples of this everything?

we wuz cylons and sheeeeeeiiiit.

Attached: 1517334254986.png (796x780, 370K)

Effectively, sea levels rose 300m in the Younger Dryas. Because of the extreme bias against cataclysms in the "scientific" community, this rise is said to likely have occurred over a long period of time.

If you read the story of Atlantis handed down by Plato, it places the event at around ~12k years ago. If you combine flood stories, out of place artifacts, stories of civilizations with far more technology (in some form that may be totally dissimilar to today) and the fact that cities tend to be along coastlines with the notion that an unbelievably large object struck the earth at this time... then history has to be rewritten. This would likely have serious impacts on some major religions as well.
