They're good useful animals. I had a kitten run up to my on the highway and practically climb up my pants because it was afraid of the cars. Took him home and kills pests in the property constantly.
Cheetahs are great, I worked with them at our local zoo and they're literally just larger house cats in every single respect.

You're happy, but the bird probably isn't as happy as he could be. Imagine how you'd feel if you were made into a pet for aliens, but they never put you in a space large enough to make full use of your legs. Maybe they'd give you fun gadgets to play with, but you'd likely feel that your nature was being overly restricted.

Orange cats being predominant in an area can often be traced to the Vikings, BTW. They liked them a lot and would bring them everywhere by boat.
In my experience, orange cats tend to be amazingly chill. Great cats to get if you have young children.

To be fair, even though we have all the land available to us we hardly "make full use of our legs", because we have cars, bikes, planes, etc., same with our eyes, ears, etc., we choose not to because it's not necessary, and most are made for survival purposes, which we rarely need. Same with animals. Sure, it's sad to cage them, but that doesn't mean they aren't uncomfortable for not needing to emigrate, or not having to always be stressed because they could be preyed on, etc. I still think it's kinda sad, though

Good animals, too bad I live in a rented apartment atm so I only interact with our cats when I visit my parents. I used to favour them over dogs but since we got a doggo I’ve started to appreciate both species. I’ll hopefully get an apartment next year, not sure if I’d get a cat or a dog (preferably some grayhound breed) if I wanted to have a pet.

I use to carry around a parrot on my shoulder everywhere, he was a good bird. Never clipped his wings but he rarely flew anywhere far from me. He also took good care not to shit on my shoulder, never once had to clean a shirt he was a very intelligent bird.
