Coloradan here. Although blue, our urban centers are absolutely tiny. Our suburbs and other areas are solid red. There is literally no better place to go off-grid than the mountains.

For anyone curious, you can still get 5 acres and a decent house for $200,000 or less in Elbert, El Paso, Weld, Morgan, a lot of rural Arapahoe and Adams counties. Jefferson county in the mountains, Chaffee, whatever.

Pueblo, and Canon City need some love too, you can get a full-size house for $60,000 - $100,000, and Denver is still only a couple hours away, Colorado Springs is even closer.
