We'll go from being one of the main 3 in the EU to an American client state in a desperate attempt for a trade deal. Meanwhile the loss of political power to the United Kingdom from its diminished status and serverence from the decision-making architecture of its own continent, not to mention a nationalist America-first Trump, a posturing Russia, the Middle East in turmoil and the disintegration of the Western political alliance and fragmentation of its strategic coherence, would result in chronic stresses on national security, vanished leverage in the international institutions we are dependent on, and very probably independence referendums in Northern Ireland and Scotland and consequently the end of the Kingdom as we know it. Britain would be finished as a global power.
