The people of Jow Forums? No. Collective projects are invariably shit that gets bogged down by personal beliefs and opinions. Can people from Jow Forums? Yes. The difference is for the former Jow Forums would collectively work on the game, for the latter you just say "hey if you are interested lets start working on this" and leaving the unskilled peons to wallow on Jow Forums with zero input or influence on development.

I got me some Unity and Blender skills, but can't draw for shit. So pretty much useless in visual novel department.

I started a book about post-apocalypse with a man and his daughter trying to survive.

Book starts out with the man Walter burying his wife while his sick nutrient deprived daughter is inside bed sick.

Then gun shots happen, followed by a truck heading down his rural road and he rushes in, puts the girl in the bath tub and grabs a Mossberg shot gun.

He is trying to put the shot gun shells in the shotgun, but his hands are too bloodied and blistered from just burying his wife .

Truck rolls by slow and stops. It's his brother that's shot from the onslaught of shit skins feeling the shit whole Chicago into rural areas.

He cleans wounds and they sit at the kitchen table by candle light planning and talking about all the Chicago wood ticks coming in and know they have to move or they, or the ash snowing down on them will kill then all.

That's all I got so far

Start the project. Programming is easy enough. But most of your expenses will be for art.

Do it on a chapter by chapter basis. Get a demo running. People will start donating harder after they see a demo.

i have a similar idea where a group of "diversed " characters struggle to survive. At the end, it seems like they manage to overcome the racial biases but everything collapses and they start to kill each other

this thread is just to look if talented people are willing to make this project. The maker of Katawa Shoujo managed to pull that off

I thought about adding another two or three characters that would be the bad guys but at the end you don't know which to root for.

I could do the programming but shit, everyone can do the programming for a visual novel. Art and sound is going to be like 99% of the work.

Yeah, but my point is that there shouldn't be some "Jow Forums game general" where everyone collectively gives their ideas, you should recruit a relatively small number of people and then work on the game fully off-site (through email, google docs, etc.).

If you let anyone give their input it will strangle your idea in the crib as people with no actual talent are willing to watch the project die than let their ideas be abandoned.

I can draw in any kind of character in an anime related art style, though I can't really draw backgrounds/landspace.
I'm also a musician, so I can create the music (though I lack the means to record it - I'm a poor brazilian after all)
As long as you have sobody to do the programing, an artist for the enviroments and a storyteller, I will gladly join in.
If you are truly serious about this, you must find a way so that we can orginze ourselves properly.

Get a script/demo out and maybe we can work together. You can't previs nothing. Maybe you can concept, but a project with no clear defined constraints is going to fail before it reaches development. Don't ask for help on a project when you're empty handed.

I enjoy writing for the most part, I wrote a bunch of fictional war stories based on real wars. No doubt, with a good idea on our direction, I could possibly write for this if needed. I also have a friend who is even better at writing, I could attempt to get him in on this too.

That can be a good idea! As long as we don't get attacked for our fun of course. Making games as a community might be great, I always wanted to do something like this with a lot of like minded people.

I can write really well when it comes to war stories, so it will be a huge adjustment here to write something like this. My friend however loves writing these types of stories, so I am trying to get him in this too.

This is probably the best move. Set a discrete project, possibly the story of some side characters or just a kinetic prologue, complete it, release it, and crowdfund to support a longer project.

I would gladly support this.
My recommendation would be to first establish a medium of communication. Undeniably, using Jow Forums and having dedicated generals for this could work, but it would be a bit chaotic.
Possibly seeking a kind of chat service possibly discord-alternatives, that are less cucked and kiked would be the best move.
Also, plot recommendation, the main character should have their story start in an initially peaceful fashion, possibly as a child, living in a homogenous small town on the outskirts of a large city. Conflicts begin as the head ups of the nation promote incentivization programs to allow migrants, and inevitably things slowly move from peaceful to destructive in the protagonist’s teenage years, with different ethnic groups vying for power. Inevitably the main character should join some kind of resistance movement. Before an all out civil war breaks.
Setting could be a technologically advanced 1920s or 1930s in an alternative universe.

I'd be willing to help. The bigger issue is keeping identities secret so the makers don't get doxxed. They will have to coordinate and it'll be hard.
Perhaps starting a new general for this and deciding upon some engine and allow people to donate assets and short stories. With enough of those folks can then focus on making transitional scenes. Each short story could follow a different character exploring some form of degeneracy.

Do something where an anime girl starts messing around with a group of animals or the exosystem to make them seem more diverse. Or bringing in a foreign species into the ecosystem. Making it looking good at first then showing the consequences afterward how the entire ecosystem was destroyed by diversity or this foreign species
