The house votes for impeachment proceedings, but the senate votes whether to actually remove him from office.

First off, Democrats will only impeach if they're stupid and short-sighted enough to do so...That said:

The house needs a simple majority vote to impeach Trump (Democrats can do this). Impeaching him does not remove him from office.
"An impeachment proceeding is the formal process by which a sitting president of the United States may be accused of wrongdoing."
The Senate is then tasked with voting whether or not to remove Trump. A 2/3 vote is required in order to remove him from office. Won't happen.
Should Democrats go through with this, Trump will not be removed from office and it will look horrible for Dems.

And then you'll go to jail because Trump won't have your back.
