I believe that affordable healthcare should be a priority, Obamacare isn't perfect, but the alternative of telling those who can't afford healthcare to either go into massive debt or die in the fucking street is something I find abhorrent.

Republicans should be all for these programs if they really wanted to stop abortion, but really to me it seems that they only take up the Pro-Life stance as a way to secure votes, rather than actually giving a shit about making sure babies don't get killed.

This is just a bit of insight into my positions. While I consider myself left-leaning, I wouldn't consider myself partisan, I've voted for Republicans in the past and didn't vote Democrat in the 2016 elections. I am talking about the fact that they study with whites on an equal footing in school from the first grade, they have the same textbooks and teachers, but the Negroes still show much worse results than whites and Asians, the same situation in European countries. It's uncertain. There isn't conclusive evidence to say that black people have a lower IQ than the average person of another ethnicity, it has been found that a black child raised in a white family will have a higher IQ than that of a black child raised in a black family. This points to an issue in the social or cultural environment of black families that isn't present in those of other races. Even when accounting for socioeconomic status as you said.

I'm not going to stand here and say that we have to do all the work for the black people, these people have to put in the work as well in order to do better than previous generations. I'm saying that programs like affirmative action can help in getting these black people and make their struggle to reach the levels of other ethnic groups.

Right now I'm going with the data that suggests that we help out black people to reach higher levels of education, test scores have been rising as we have implemented these programs. Jim Crow ended a little over two generations ago. There are people alive who lived under it. We just need to be patient and see if our efforts pan out in bringing black education levels up. If credible evidence comes out that black people really do have some gene or defect that makes it impossible to generally reach the education levels of other ethnic groups obviously I would be changing the goal and how we approach the issue. But until then I think things like affirmative action are still justified.

I should also note that I'm white and lived in the lower economic brackets (and at one point poverty line) for a significant portion of my upbringing. I also had no problems with school in general, but I can recognize that black people generally have problems that are unique to them on top of having problems associated with being in a low economic status.

You know they still have to go through the schooling right? Just because they had it easier on the college entrance exam doesn't mean that they were given a free pass from having to learn the material.
