Protip: AI is a meme. We can't make an analogue to human intelligence because we don't understand human intelligence. Anyone who talks about AI being the next big step in computing/technology literally doesn't know what they're talking about. They're the children of the people that thought we'd have flying cars back when the automobile became a mature technology, just like the microchip has. I think AI that's independant and hosted by a mechanical physical body would require stable quantum computing at room temp, which is a ways off. Outside of that, it'd need to be controlled by a remote computer/network with far more computing power than you could fit in a human sized robot

When you start the app, the AI immediately starts asking questions and will continue to do so until you start asking it random questions. Also, this is app is “free,” but anybody who uses it is contributing, for FREE, to the “learning” of their AI software in general. I’ve already deleted the thing, and lied about my info. I was just curious about it. These AIs always interest me.

i have always thought that intelligence and sentience were mutually exclusive. we could make machines as smart as we want but they will likely never cross the line to sentience.
like a calculator is intelligent. it can solve nearly every math problem ever, but it cant think. it doesnt know what to do with that knowledge. meanwhile humans are sentient but most of us are pretty fucking stupid. we cant do really complex math easily on our own, but we still have the imgenuity to use it.
if a computer were to ever start thinking on its own, like a human, it might not be threatening at all. in fact it would probably seem like its regressing. once it thinks like us, it would probably suddenly be incapable of calculating anything. its mind would be like a child. then we would have to teach it from scratch. programming wouldnt be an option.
also if they think like us, they would be susceptible to all the same distractions and ailments we are.
