I've met a few engineering women that did their job well. It's rare, but some can do the work. The issue is affirmative action hiring drags in a bunch of worthless ones with the few decent ones.
This is true. I work for a Fortune 500 Insurance provider and my department is run by about 80% women. The department is an absolute mess right now, and the turnover is increasing by about 8% every year. They keep hiring more YOUNG WOMYN to fill technical roles they are absolutely not suited for, and for which they simply cannot seem to absorb any training. Most of them have absolute shit-tier degrees in lesbian dance theory or basket weaving and struggle with forming coherent sentences. They are not only costing the company money through re-hiring and constant training, but also through lost business. Clients are fed up with their incompetence and indecisiveness, and half of them throw fits when a client pushes back on their decision. This means we spend even more money on recruiting and advertising to replace the business they are costing us.
Women literally belong in the kitchen or in secretarial roles where their decisions are of little importance. When they are allowed to congregate in corporate settings, you get the worst kind of groupthink happening and it absolutely ruins any chance for growth.
Not to mention most of the managers spend half of every day chatting and gossiping.
women in HR nearly by definition have zero ability to ascertain someone's skill level for a job. Women in HR should be organizing lunch parties and taking calls from whinging cunts who want to complain about their job. We also use Excel w/ macros for so much stuff it's almost unbelievable. It's so archaic. Everything is either cloud-based and slow as fuck because we're accessing some wooden server in Guatemala, or it's some garbage spreadsheet designed by a simpleton that requires 10 hours of fidgeting.
I honestly wonder how profitable companies could be if they just fixed some of the basic problems/annoyances like this. It must cost us millions every year in lost time/effort/suicides.
