Nazis are obsessed with race and racial purity - particularly physical features like blonde hair and blue eyes. But did this ideology form during a time when these Nazis didn’t understand the inevitabilities of human evolution and technological progress? Were they totally unable to imagine this future?

Not too long from now, the technology to modify the human genome will become widespread, and for the first time evolution will be intelligently guided.

This technology will open the doors to modify every feature of a person. In the near future, it won’t be uncommon for there to be colorful varieties of all people in all races. The blonde hair and blue eyes which were once only found naturally in Europeans will be a common characteristic in many other races.

Given all this, is it not sort of obvious how shallow of an ideology Nazism was? Creating a union of people based on how they look? Can’t you see how much more enlightened the American system is, and how the fact America won WW2 was the best thing that could have happened for humanity as a whole? A republic with freedom for all? Where all races will evolve together into more sophisticated, beautiful, and perfect beings as one? Where all people, races, and religions are equal and can coexist? Isn’t the American ideal one worth fighting for, vs regressing into tribalism where we divide each other based on how we look?

Genetics is an incredibly recent field of knowledge. We didn't even know how many chromosomes there were until the 1950s, and the idea that genetics could be altered by any means other than selective breeding based on visible traits didn't come around until the 1970s.
