IT is computer engineering? I don't know, if you have a clear idea of where are you going to work once you have the degree maybe but in this country the best thing is have things to work in tourism and any other shit. Yeah I know that tourism jobs are shit but what I'm trying to say is that you just don't go to college and study something because you like it. You have to have a plan for after college: where are you going to ask for a job, if you have any family connection, etc. In my experience, the majority of people that spend 4-7 years in college then doesn't know what to do after college and end up working in a regular job or if he is lucky in some functionary. Medicine, nursing, pharmacy, law, teaching, engineering, business... Those are the only degrees that are worth to study. The rest are absolutes memes to make people think they are from the high class, intellectuals and to get their money.

500€ for a room in Madrid is decent though. Especially if you have it in Chamartin, Latina or chamberi, Hortaleza is fine too. Appartements in Hortaleza are ok and not that expensive. Look for one near mar de Cristal near the mall and el corte ingles. My great aunt used to live there and it was fine.
Amsterdam is a lot worse where even in a neighborhood with 80% moroccans and other trash 800€ for 10m2 in a shitty building, not even an old historic one.

Have family in Madrid and always visited it every summer until I was 19. Love the city and the atmosphere. The propaganda isn't as bad as it might seem if you don't visit and most people are normal. It's expensive but not as expensive as here, getting groceries from the hipercor is twice as cheap as the same shit here and living is about the same, comparable to a normal city here.
