You shouldn't overestimate the loyalty of the military and the police. The average soldier cares mostly about his pay packet and college plan, and the average police officer's loyalty stops where the thin blue line does.
I think if the left disguised shooting a hundred protesting white men as necessary to prevent a dishonorable discharge to soldiers, and as necessary to protect fellow police officers to the police, they'd have no qualms doing it.

Even if you succesfully wiped out MSNBC, CNN, ABC and half a dozen other big outlets, you'd have thousands of local affiliates still going, plus an enormous flood of social media posts about your actions, and they'd be overwhelmingly negative.

This is one of the ways he managed to hold on to power in the North during the crucial early stages of the Civil War: he stacked the deck at home by securing the allegiance of the military and then silencing his main critics.
My country has a 12-15 party system. What happens here is that political parties have to reach convoluted political compromises during weeks-long coalition negotiations, where activists, academics and corporations whisper suggestions into the ears of the negotiating parties. We get the exact same bullshit policies that the Americans get (corporate welfare, limiting of freedoms for citizens while immigrants get more 'human rights' and entitlements, et cetera).
The idea of one decisive cataclysm always makes for nice fantasies, but in reality civil wars involve a lot of infighting and atrocities. You'll get one-third of your men defecting (back) to the other side on the promise of positions of power, and another third defecting to their own side and trying to negotiate a separate deal with the other side when casualties start mounting. Look at what's going on in Syria - the opposition to Assad fell apart the moment a stalemate was reached, and within months the various opposition groups were fighting each other and trying to negotiate an alliance with pro-Assad groups.

Even if we took the entire US military budget and chalked it down to "expenditure on white people", the average black and Hispanic would still be a net negative to the budget and the average white would still be a net positive.
Besides, the size of the US military as a percentage of the budget is pretty overstated. Defense spending was 3.1% of GDP in 2017, and more was spent on Medicare and Social Security individually than on Defense.
