Live in a small self-sustained society that does not depend (but can of course recieve) food and goods by transport by trucks or tank-ships. Of course, this way of living would not sustain as many as our current way of living does, but I do not see what we're doing now as self-sustainable. If anything, we'll overpopulate (very much thanks to Africa and Southern Asia. but outsourcing and industrial exploitation is to thank for this) and self-destruct.
