I am deciding between logistics or IT/Tech.....what you faggots think is better? Is logistics management, supply chain etc. a good career?
What should I study?
Logistics are a great career if you are good and driven.
IT is becoming a blue collar job, like an electrician. Go logistics.
Become a PA, the objectively best choice.
do an engineering discipline like mechanical, industrial, or chemical with an MS in logistics. you will be a lot more marketable for very highly paid positions internationally
I just got an MBA concentrating in supply chain and logistics. Super interesting field, haven't decided what I want to do in it though. Seems like a lot of opportunity available though, I just gotta get a foot in the door somewhere
As long as logistics is dynamic flexible and exciting I would go for it I think I would enjoy it desu
good luck I am leaning towards logistics actually it feels like something I would enjoy doing instead of just following what is hot in it/tech...glad to hear people say its a good career plus the masters degrees have a lot of different specific specializations that look interesting.
graphic design
engineering
you can do logistics with it
you can't do engineering with logistics
please explain further
I am sure the program has the necessary amount/aspects of engineering needed...
engineering provides you with a wide variety of tools and options
you can end up in finance, IT, telco, manufacturing
you literally chose the domain
if you go IT you are big retard
I'm sysadmin which is kind of like glorified IT and it's comfy. I can work from home every day and I basically do a bit of work and play dwarf fortress for a while and repeat until I leave.
Def don't wanna be a sysadmin for the rest of my life though. Good starting point though
Thanks. I'm half considering joining the Marines as a logistics officer or a supply officer. I'd much rather tackle the domestic supply chain though. Everyone has a supply chain, and everyone has logistics, so a creative and analytical mind should be able to perform some very satisfying work in the field
If you're single and don't own a home go for it. Once you do either of those your prospects for realistically joining the military are gone.
can be learned home and get a job in less than a year also youre being replaced by devops guys. you playing games all day isnt gonna help you
Why is that Est bro? you guys are very good in IT don't want competition? explain.
sounds exciting and something that would jumpstart a career very well, I think logistics would be great becauseI could learn things that would help me out in my own personal business as well if I pursue that in the future. and the whole IT thing is something I could do for fun Im not sure I want to do it as a job at some cuck IT firm
because its a waste of time. you can learn all of whats being taught there for 3 years in a year yourself ez and its fact. jobs dont require papers for IT, all goes based on skills. also you dont know if its fit you or not so its risky if i was u dont pick it
Ok Thanks Estonii...I was leaning towards logistics anyways its a much more logical choice and I would be able to work in that job for sure. And as for IT I could always learn it in my spare time and go into for whatever reason if I wanted or needed to later. my third choice was marketing but that would be something I wouldn't even like and its something you learn aspects of anyways in studying logistics...Estonia is always right :)
It's not helping but it's damn fun. Hoping to move into devops or security eventually, both of which I think I have the skills for.
I'm young. As of now I'm taking what I can get so I can put it on my resume. The bigger opportunities will come down the road.
I got a degree in computer science (I focused on machine learning i.e. statistical learning algorithms), but I find what I do to be unsatisfying... I feel like just doing math or switching to a natural science, but the grass is always greener?
