Learn a trade or start networking with people. I've found that applying for City/County Jobs - even low paying positions - can be used as stepping stones to work your way up to a decent paying job. I'm speaking from experience.

Also, Learn a trade. I wasted 5 years of my life going to school learning biology. Although it was interesting, for the amount of money I make now, it wasn't anything past personal enrichment.

In the UK if you don't leave school with good grades you can still go to night-school to 'upgrade' or simply take the first year exams on the degree that you wish to do - 9/10 if you get a good grade they will accept you - that's how i did it anyway.
