not sure about settlement, but i've always wondered about seabed agriculture and how effective it could be. its not like the millions upon millions of square miles of seabed are being used for anything anyway, just gotta figure out what edible thing can be grown as a crop on the ocean floor and figure out either robots or something for humans to harvest down there as well

Seabed agriculture won't work, nothing of merit grows on the seabed, at best you can tailor wheat or rice to grow in high salinity and use saltwater but it still must be floating. water really does a number on the penetration of solar energy.

i just don't see how ocean settlement could be sustainable in a vacuum; fish would get depleted quickly and if food imports were cut off I don't see how hydroponics/ocean surface crops could feed a sizable ocean town/city. its definitely worth looking into, but right now I think the problems present in the idea don't have easy answers

It was a dream that Yukko had in class, of the two wooden block cubes that Mio has in her hair. Yukko dreamt that there was some sort of kingdom and those cubes were artifacts that would summon the ancient weapon. The villain had caught the king and was chasing the girls daughter, both who had cubes. The villain took the one cube from the king and then chased down the princess. The villain then in his dramatic speech, tripped over his feat and died. The henchmen, now realizing that the princess, the rightful heir is still alive, and that the man who would have protected them if he was successful, the villain, is dead. One of them realizes it is best to support her immediately and hope they won't all be killed for treason. Everyone else joins in acknowledging the princess as the true ruler. They leave the chamber to find the king.
Then one of the henchmen notices that in the confusion, they simple leave the wooden cube behind. The henchmen now has the two relics that will summon the ancient weapon and the two artifacts needed to prove rightful leader of the kingdom. He opens a window to smoke a cigarette after all that is happened. He thinks he can't be the ruler as he doesn't even know how to summon the ancient weapon. Smoking a cigarette he coughs and the two wooden cubes he had placed on the windows ledge are bumped off. They fall to earth from the blimp and fall right into place as Mio's wooden cube hair accessories. Upon the wooden cubes falling into place, Yukko wakes from her dream
