So I'm a brown Muslim, but like most Levantines (based Bashar is not the anomaly you think he is, user, see e.g. pic related of our royal family) moderate and support secular government. I just got back from a trip to the southern US (rural Texas). Before going I was apprehensive to be honest, since the stay was for three weeks and I'd heard horror stories from the Jewish media about how browns and Muslims are treated in Trump country. I heard a lot of the uncouth comments-more stupid and uncultured than racially hateful, honestly, like thinking all Muslims are literally Saudis and that most of us can't read-but I felt extremely welcomed by the people I met, the overwhelming majority of whom were Trump supporters. Two blue collar-ish rural whites, upon seeing that I didn't want sharia law, drink, had a girlfriend without hijab, have no problem with Trump, and spoke better English than them (not saying much), literally said I should immigrate to the US to help "maga." Was this anecdote anomalous, or does American "nationalism" actually entail the acceptance of "based" brown Muslims? (Pretty pathetic, desu. Who are you going to exclude if not people like me?)

America's still a pretty good country for now in terms of quality of life, lack of corruption in government, etc. when compared to a lot of the world. But it's getting worse. I don't know when we'll go full commie, but it may not be too far off. There's a lot of benefits to being a conservative Muslim in your own country (e.g. stable family, traditional gender roles, shared sense of community and purpose, universally agreed upon cultural norms). If you're the kind of guy who goes on Jow Forums, maybe you should look into your own culture and not try to assimilate into everything Jow Forums hates.
