Whereas the efforts of women in motorsports are typically laughable, it seems that in this case it was a marshaling error that fucked her over. A car in front of her brake-checked at 180 mph, and unless you're Schumacher-tier you're not going to be able to react. Once they hit she spun and was moving backwards at 170ish, so brakes locked and she couldn't stop. Then she launched off another car off the course, which was out of her control.
If there are any other racing anons, I just gotta say they should close Macau. We need more danger in racing, but from legitimate coliseums of speed (remove the chicane at Monza!) rather than urban abominations. This crash, after the moto death the year before as well as the GT pileup, really do not help anyone for publicity or health or prestige. Macau is a death trap without allure (in contrast to old Spa, or other tracks).

If you think you'd be able to even approach her levels of attentiveness you're a mental midget, first off, because even lapping at backmarker pace takes exceptional mental/physiological ability. That said, factually speaking - physically - there was no way to react. The time from the car in front of her braking - the time it takes to visually process that - the time it takes to respond and brake - the time it takes for her braking to take effect - it's too long to prevent the collision which likely occurred in a couple hundred of milliseconds.

I'm imagining she was on the right rear quarter panel before contact, explaining spin and the no-show of the person she hit in the footage, and in that case the yellow may have been obstructed by the guy in front (since it's typically behind the catch fence on the close side wall). But even then when you have a yellow appear you don't brake check at 180 - and in that sense I think both are partially responsible (hence the marshal ruling).
